Why does rediff allow such reviews? If this guy is getting paid for writing this, whosoever is paying him should stop paying him, as he is full of it. Stop writing reviews and better yet stop watching movies and find another job.
The movie is not that bad. The new comer's did pretty good and the movie is not the masala fare. Cinema is unrealistic and this is no different then any other new trend in cinema. It's much better then many masala movies that have hit theaters this year.
Who is this guy claiming to know all about the cinema? No doubt the movie was slow for most of the Indian audience. But then again, when does Bollywood ever offer realistic cinema? This movie is targeted at those who appreciate the finer details of life and can also leave their %u2018real world%u2019 to go wander in the world of fairytales.
This movie is a decent attempt at something new. Ranbir did not over act but he acted the way his director wanted him to. I hope you have seen %u2018India 1964%u2019. It%u2019s a 40 second clip of Ranbir at his best.
So keep your dumb reviews to yourself. Also, I must say, the flaws of a director should not be the yardstick for measuring the capability of an actor. Both the kapoor kids did justice to their characters.
From the quality of your review, I get an opinion that you are the typical stereotype who loves movies where a group of thugs jump a girl and rape her or such. I wish you were creative enough to pay attention to the finer details, and appreciate the poetic nature of the movie. But maybe the %u2018hot chick%u2019 on your Pepsi cup caught your attention and kept you busy throughout the movie.

If you have iota of common sense and knowledge of any language, the spelling of any name does not depend on spellings in dictionary. ( which is not a bad movie in itself/..) ranbir is awesome.. and sonam is gorgeous... dis movie cant be held back for long.. people gunna see its charm.. wutever rediff says...
