I completely agree with Shankar Narayanan. Shankar says that KANK is a hit which it was not and to be absolutely fair to at least OSO, its minimum status (despite the fact that almost every tv/news channel is saying that it is going strong, especially in comparison to Saawariya - i.e. within India) of OSO is that this movie is merely 11 days old as of today and if you see the newspapers and noticed that when both Saawariya and OSO released, both movies were being shown in the bigger theatres/multiplexes, putting in a minimum of 6 to 9 shows each day. Now watch the paper of Sunday or the last Friday (when the movie completed 7 days and entered its 2nd week), Saawariya is down to 4 or 3 shows at most theatres while having been pulled down from some of the smaller theatres while OSO is doing a minimum of the same number of shows i.e. 6 to 9 shows per days at all the big theatres including all multiplexes plus PVRs in the entire NCR region (Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad/Sahibabad and Faridabad).... Even in the face of such data, one (not just me but I am sure everyone will accept the argument), that OSO is not yet a flop if at all you don't want to call it a hit as yet. You see, we can accept that nowadays most movies are out of theatres by their 5th week, but the differences is that a movie is being shown 9 or 10 times as compared to 4 shows per day which was the case earlier. OSO at the worst is above-average and on the way rapidly to becoming a hit. Not at all a flop
It is not even no. of days in theater, it is no. of days in the minds of the people who watch! Very few movies get critical and public backing in one stroke! In 70s and 80s when DVD VCDs were not existing any movie use to make an average business atleast! Now this is the era of advertisments and media!It is not always an equation that good cinema means hit cinema.Amitabh Bacchan has also given some average movies but were hits!Dharmendra was never known to be an actor but watch his Satyakam! Manoj kumar in Shor, Shridevi in Sadma, very recently Ravina Tondon in Satta! Every one is having once share sometimes noticed sometimes unnoticed!According to me Bhansali has given enough and earned enough too! He is holding the torch to lead the Indian public in general and Cinema in perticular towards understanding the fine aspects of Cinema- the another name of creative expression.

yes
in india it has grossed 41 crore in the first week and according to cnn ibn and boxoffice india 8th day(friday's) collection is 75 to 80% so there is no drop even after 1st week and sat, sunday shows are going to 90 to 100%.
And now saawaria has grossed 20 crore in 1st week according to trade information and boxofficeindia. and 8th day collection is 15 to 20%.
hahahah no competetion. oso has grossed more then double compare to saawaria.
now plz just make ur openion guys.
dont advise others to see or dont see it.
because u know that the hype is not lasting for any movie more then 1st three days. we have seen in case of saawaria and even in the past for many movies.
8th day collection of more then 50% is fantastic for any movie. so u know whatever is oso how trash it is but it is liked by the malority of people and its entertaining movie.
yes one anotherthing is that shows has been increased in the second week in most of the multip[lexes across india in the second week.
i mean its incresed by 20% more show then the 1st week. it is itself fantastic because u want see in the past that any movie released with so many prints has increased the prints in the second week.
If Saawarya is a more superhit then it will survive in the halls for more no of days and if OSO is more superhit it will survive in the halls for more no of days. So why make an issue out of it? Ony time will tell the answer.

If its doing so well overseas, why no BBC review? SRK, try buy them with ur money..i dont know how people can go by these third rate review's and follow such media "hyped" stars.. I am sure SRK would not get a good break for a long time until he finances it!!!!

Yeah as if SHRK is Dictator of India and he can actually manipulate the whole media. I'm amazed to see so much of hatred towards SHRK that people are even alleging Indian Media for being biased. Kudos to u all!! Onething is for sure OSO take the Sh@t out of every SHRK basher and these people can only cry foul now ...I never knew that Sanjay L B is so poor that he wasn`t able to do what SHRK did....he cud have had done the same thing to declare Saawariya a blockbuster but ALAS! atlast SHRK THE DICTATOR of INDIA did it .....and yeah no other star of bollywood is able to MANIPULATE MEDIA AS THE SHRK CAN ??
