few days back in an interview ruk ruk khan told media that he will fight sony's bumper publicity,with help of his friends. now it is visible here on rediff

Sanjay Bhansali once said in an interview that he considers Kunal Kohli to be the most over-rated director in Bollywood. I am sure there are several that consider Sanjay Bhansali to be the most over-rated director in the world. He is Satan!! Makes movies that are soulless but sinisterly lights up his opulent sets which the technically-challenged Bollywood bimbos have fallen for. What he delivers are highly pseudo-intellectual fare ridden with smugness (similar to the one you see on his face) with zero entertainment value -- and the morose Indian public that light their houses dim like Sanjay does his sets loves his movies though in a moment of weakness they would admit they can't sit through most of his movies. On the other hand, Farah Khan is a tapori filmmaker who dumbs it all down; the reverse snob who is taking Hindi cinema back to the 70s and 80s -- which is when it fell behind in technique. There are those trying to strike middle ground - Farhan Akhtar, Raj Santoshi, Shimit Amin, Mani Ratnam, Aamir Khan - but I am not sure if the pseudo-intellectuals and the reverse snobs will let them survive.

From Keenu 2005, I perfectly agree. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the most over-rated director in Bollywood today. His debut movie 'Khamoshi' had a soul- it was poignant and touching but after 'Khamoshi' bombed at the box office, Bhansali decided to play to the gallery with soulless opulence and loud melodrama. His ' Hum Dil De Chuke Hai Sanam' and ' Devdas' were commercial successes but they were at the same time terrible movies lacking subtlety and finesse. People like Vishal Bhardwaj( Maqbool and Omkara ) and Rituparna Ghose ( Raincoat ) have shown you don't need grand sets to make pathbreaking movies. Bhansali's 'Black' was marginally better but it was too screechy and melodramatic to be called a great movie.'Saawariya' appears to be even worse. The TV promos completely put me off and the reviews on Rediff only confirmed my fears. Mr. Bhansali, stop assaulting our senses with such moronic fare. Bollywood would be better off without people of your ilk- the smug, ignorant and self-indulgent pseudo-intellectuals.
Everybody appreciates Black. It was a sick movie. Too much of melodrama when it was not necessary. The script was sick too. This teacher lived with the student till she was almost 30 hey then why train her if you are always there to take care of her.
The problem is that the movie was not entertaining and boring so the pseudo intellectuals said ist great and the mass said yes.
I do not know about sanwariya as i have not seen it. SLB is not great just too much of hype

in my opnion ashutosh gowariker is the most under rated guy there. Watch out for Jodha Akbar. Its gonna be path breaking.

I think SRK has become too big for his boots.First,it was trying to show that he one better than the Big B,now it is SLB.Mr.Shahrukh Khan has to learn the basics of acting to be called an actor.His the biggest ever hamster of Indian cinema.He beats Feroz Khan and Sanjay Khan hollow.But,SRK has to remember,that a rainbow vanishes after a few minutes.

Please go watch Swades and Chak De India! SRK deserves an oscar at least for his outstanding work in these two movies.

I dont think SRK knows acting. actually he should be treated as extra .... he does not know acting just jumping like a joker..I think u dont have other peoples doing acting so praising SRK

Any average Actor would have done these two movies, Because their Script and supporting cast was superb. but if you could please ask your King (K**g) to act in movies lacking Big Money and make them Superhit on his Own. They are Just a Gang of Schemers/Tricksters looting you Good
