dont say this. I agree he is good music director. But the Hit % is very very less. if he composes 100 songs 10 will be good.

In cartoon network, there is a new sequence called Bolly Donkey is coming up from next week. And the central character called Amita, a female donkey is given voice by the great Himesh. Himesh felt, he just felt home and did not have to take any special efforts..

No musician is/was as versatile as RDB. RDB had his own style. Todays musicians that may be Rehman are copying RDB. Any true music lover will not make mistake of comparing a legend like RDB with today's musicians. I can only say that RDB's music is like oxigen in our lives.

RDB is definitely a great Music Director of North. But there are great versatile music directors in South also like Maestro Ilayaraja, KV Mahadevan etc. If Northies are ignorant of them, I am sorry for their Ignorance.

Though i am a south indian and dont listen much to RD Burman but whatever i have heard i must agree that RDB was much bigger than AR. RDB's music can transend generational shifts but AR's cant. As the saying"Old is Gold" cant be truer in this case.

Shup up and keep ur useless questions to urself. Only fools compare legends and even bigger fools like you want to ignite a stupid discussion.

Dear Gupta Ji thanks for ur coment..by doing so u fell in the same category. Both have different backgrounds..different time periods..different instruments...got my point..
We Indians love bashing each other. Be it the north or south or tamil or telugu or mallu or whatever. We love to lynch each other.
In this case most north indians ridicule Rajini and his mannerisms and the way his movies are made. Little do they realize that Rajini is one of their on by birth. He is a Marathi born Sivaji Rao Gaekwad. He himself would not liked to be called a Marathi or a Kannadiga (Where he was born) or a Tamil (Where he settled) but we indians rip his indianess and critizie him no end.
I am not a big fan of Rajini but if i must admire him for one thing it is for being so multifaceted. A marathi guy born and raised in Karnataka and settled in Tamilnadu making movies in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Wat more can you ask frm him? Just leave him alone. He is more indian than those spineless regional bigots like Ganguly and Tendulkar.

maharashtrians dont consider themselves north indians rather they consider themselves west indians, close to gujaratis-

bihari chief minister and bhiari railway minister- advertise for railway exams for the job positions to be offered in maharashtra in local news papers of bihar and north india and none in marathi news papers- so for exams held in pune, for positions to be filled in maharashtra- you find all biharis and no maharashtrian. such hypocracy is bound to get a response.its not about whether Biharis can come to maharashtra or not - its killing the rights of maharashtrians by brutal discrimination- imagine- for an exam to fill posts in bimar, sorry bihar, adverts appear in only marathi new papers and none in bihari papers-poor biharis are not at fault-the corrupt polititians of bihar are responsible- our paradise maharashtra will soon be infested by hoards of them
RE:Rahman downfall:) He disappointed
by Vikram Sagar on May 30, 2007 08:02 PM
very true. sivaji is a terrible experiment. mediocre music combined with sloppiest lyrics is not going to take him anywhere.
As told by Rahman: "I don't like the idea of a director thinking, OK, we have Rahman and we expect him to come up with good music. Composing a good score is partnership with many people including the director, lyricist, and singer."
