Mr Joshi,I would advise U to correct ur absurd & horrible stats.Let me tell u that KHNH, Main Hoon Na proved to be the biggest hits of the year 2003&2004 respectively.also Pardes , Veer-Zaara & Don were hits And u prat how can u include Devdas as a flop.it was the biggest hit of year 2001 & Srk claimed all the reputed awards so just bang your head hard chalte chalte was a hit & pbdhh(phir....)badshah, hum tumhare hai sanam ,josh being average hits Srk is rightly said Badshah of bollywood or King Khan.u know what? u r a hypocrite who manipulates the facts according to prove ur own point.

right said zenab saying that devdas,chalte chalte,kabhi haan kabhi na...were flops is the height of foolishness....devdas is among the highest grossers of all time...srks best performance are devdas,swades,abhi haan kabhi na....he has won n number of awards for these flicks....90% srk flicks are hits blockbuster...there are only a few flops by srk..that too in his early days he has included pardes,don veerzaara..in average....what a joke...DON HAS DONE MORE THAN 100 CRORE BUSS...veerzaara,don,pardes..are in the top 20 highest grossing cnemas of india..check the facts at boxofficeindia..or ibosnetwork...

I agree with you about Devdas, Swades and Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. But your data about box office is a bit exaggerated
Not sure where you get the information from but Don took 40 crores to make and has made 50 crores it is a hit but it is not a blockbuster.
There were only five block buster between 2000 and 2009 Gadar, Dhoom2, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Krissh and Kaho na pyar hai. None starring Shah Rukh Khan or to that matter Amitabh Bachchan

don has made 58 crores in india itself...including overseas(which is enormous for srk flicks) don has made 100 crores.....AND U MISSED OUT ON SRKS K3G WHICH WAS A BIGGER HITTHAN KAHO NAA PYAAR...AND LAGE RAHO..U ALSO MIOSSED OUT ON VEERZAARA...IT WAS AMDE ON 20 CRORES..IT MADE 92 CRORES AT THE BOXOFFICE..ENOUGH TO become a blockbuster...in this period srk also has superhits like kal ho naa ho,mohobattein...even devdas was released in 2002....he had superhit main hoo na also and another crrection don had budget of 35 crores...last year the only movie to have 40 crores budget was jaanemann,krrish and dhoom 2..the...dude for ur kind information...even fanna is a blockbuster...it is the 3rd highest grosser of 2006....

another thing....boxoffice ndia des not include...overseas...which is main draw of srk flicks...it does 40-50%of the totla collections...THE only reason kank..became hit is because of overseas bussiness...and same with kal ho na ho...due to metros and overseas bussiness...as srk flicks dont do too well in interiors...

Devdas, Chalte Chalte were above average, Josh was average& not Utter flops. In Hey Ram & Army he was just in a Extended Guest appearance. And the most of the other utter flops movies were in his earlier days(except paheli which also went on to oscars). Infact even amitabh had 14 flops before a Hit. Em not a big fan of SRK but what i mean to say is that If he is known as KK because of the amount of Fan following & hits in toto he has given in d last decade. However i think Aamir is a bigger star than him.
This board has become a bit funny. While there are some good and serious discussions. Some Rajanikanth fans are running around the crowd of mature people like little Children asking for attention and proclaiming that Rajnikanth is the best. You can almost imagine them about 4 feet tall in shorts and shouting in their kiddish voice Ha ha ha...

If wedding for Bacchans was such a private affair they should not have done it in Andheri/Juhu. They shud have gone to Sahara City near Pune as Suahara Parivar is their friend and performed wedding ceremony far from everyone. This is what Hritik did when he did his marriage ... it was held at the farm house of his father in law near Bangalore. Amitabh is a farce. He deliberately kept marriage at his home to attract attention and then denied any reporting to media. It was an insult to every one who made him such a big star.

You r absolutely right, if he Mr. Bachan really wanted a private affair then he should have done the wedding somewhere outside in the exteriors of Mumabi and moreover if he really wanted it to be a family affair then why such scattered invitation was given to only few selected members of film fraternity, he could have made it only for his close relatives, by inviting Ajay Devgan-Kajol, Karan Johar, Anupam Kher n his family, Yash Chopra and Ram Gopal Varma and Kapoors (excluding Randhir Kapoor and his daughters of course) he has insulted those who made him what he is today for e.g, Salim-Javed, Ramesh Sippy. And not to forget Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu who are an institute themselves and also senior most members in the film fraternity. Had he made this affair only for his relatives including Kapoor's (Because his daughter is married to Raj kappor's grandson) then things wouldn't have taken this colour but inviting one and not iviting other and then the affair seemed anything but a private affair, he just made a mockery of marriage.

Do you have any friends in your work place? In your work place you can't make friends they are co-workers.
Some of the biggest name in production and direction are close to Amitabh from Yash Chopra to Karan Johar, to RGV to Rohan Sippy to Mani Ratnam, JP Dutta just keep counting these are the people who give you work.
Plus he has friends like Ajay Devgan Kajol, Sanjay Dutt who will treat them with respect as Bachchans treat everyone else. Have you seen how SRK and Saif treat their friends? They literally bully them? Watch any stage show and the way they call people. A closed family like Bachchan anyway will not tolerate that road side nonsense. If you think Amitabh is powerful then you have no idea how powerful is Jaya Bachchan.
Plus among Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya they control so much of market share.
Agreed that by marrying Aishwarya Abhishek hasn't made more friends but these are all issues of time. If he acts the way he acted in Yuva and Guru then there is no stopping him.

If AB is a big successful star and actor and u peoples r his fans... why u r scared of any other actors, especially SRK. He is also become a star with his confidence and hardwork. If they r of same age then this comparisons r ok. AB was a star of yesteryears. Now look at hi age and the roles he is doing. (nishabd, cheenikum, bhagban....) The second dancer is Saif. It is very obvious from this that there is a bollywood divide, Khans vs Bachchans. Bachchans invited this themselves. The Khans are definitely stronger with a huge fan following, senior AB is old and junior AB is talentless now depending on his plastic beauty as a saving grace.
