(1) No doubt Mohan lal is gifted actor, but Kamal is definitely above mohan lal. Kamal has done a variety of roles. (2) Mohan lal's acting is same in all the movies. (3) Kamal can act like Mohan lal. But Mohan lal cannot act like Kamal. (4) Mohan lal is suited more for serious type only.

You being a malayali, I am not surprised with your list. The link your provided does NOT say that mohan lal is better actor than Kamal. With a wide range of movies, roles and expressions, kamal scores more than mohan lal. Mohan lal's acting look same in all his movies. But look at kamal's movies like Sadma, Nayagan, Indian, Ek Duje ki liye. In each of the movies, you will totally a different Kamal.

There is no discussion wanted for finding who is the best actor,everyone know Mohan Lal Is Better than any other Actors,because he is gifted actor.He started his Career as a Villain in Malayalam Film.Then he slowly changed in to supporting actor and then became the super star.With his effort and hardworking he became the superstar.He got Bharat Award two times,thats not for offbeat films,that's for classic films like Bharatham and Vanaprsdham.first u watch any film of Mohanlal and then post your opinion.

Kamal can all the roles done by Mohan lal. But Mohanlal cannot do the roles done by Kamal. Because, Kamal fits all the roles. But Mohan lal does NOT.

I THINK YOU ARE CORRECT.OFFCOURCE KAMAL IS A GOOD ACTOR BUT NOT BETTER ACTOR THAN MOHANLAL.

Kamal will be defenitly in Top 5. He's widely accepted by critics as well as masses. I hardly see any people who disagree with kamals acting prowess. May be amitab & amir can have a debate. Thts why I put them in 9 &10. Just to avoid all southies i put them ;).

I KNOW DUDE WHAT KIND OF FILMS TAMIL nadu watches...rajni kickin 1000 ppls butt at the same time...and ppl going crazy...u know in mumbai...most of the colleges...have found a new way to get entertained...whenevr we get bored....we just rent a tamil film mostly rajni...and laugh are guts out watchin the antics of ur actors in films....throwing ciggs in air and even goggs...folding lungis...sliipin over banana peels...showing off the latest white underwear from jockey...during fighting...in dirty water..and 5 minute long...bhasan after evry fight is done...if the actor manages to say it without breathing...then evryone in tamil nadu claps what great acting tamil films are waste whole of india knows...and we know what kind of films are hits in tamil nadu...why are mentioning vivha...have u seen the real hindi cineam...go and watch mr and mrs iyer,black friday,parzaania,water,earth,paanch,munnabhai,rang de basanti,swades,lagaan,phir milenge,guru,jhankaar beats,being cyrus,maqbool,omkara,company,satya,kal ho na ho,dil chahta hai,black,hazaaron khwaisein aisi,chameli,chandni bar,page 3,salaam bombay,the namesake,astitva,vaastav etc...there are lot...if i go to mention then the list will never end...

Now that shows your general knowledge and ur knowledge about India..when did I tell you I am a tamilian or for that matter a south indian? I could even be from one of the north eastern states. But for your information there is more to south india than tamilnadu. Learn about India first okie ?. And about the list..if south india decides to take a list of GOOD movies, your so called HINDI movies will vanish in no time.

And dear sir,70% of the movies you listed won't complete a week in kerala theaters(I have seen most of them,btw),I suspect the same for Bengali theaters. We do watch Hindi movies,but with a different attitude,just the way we watch a rajani flick or Chiranjeevi flick.Just for 'feel-good'/'time-pass'.The same way we read Sydney Sheldon and Jeffrey Archer books.

the difference is that Tamilians have no illusions about it that they are watching a worldclass movie or the acting is legendary,unlike the northies who think AB is a great actor and Lagaan was a great film.
He is the best actor alive in India perhaps in the world. Only regret is he hasn't won an Oscar bcoz he was born on the wrong side of the globe. If he's an American/European, he would have had 2-3 oscars in his kitty and still counting.

Kamal is kind of 'type'.I remember scenes from kuruthipunal where he acts pretty strange for a guy in his situation. He does have a lot of ability,but he is no greater than Lal or Mammotty. We malayalees have given him the honor of being cast in our movies.hehe.That tells a lot.We respect him.

U might not have seen enough Lal movies. First see good Lal movies and compare him with Kamal. I agree Kamal is too good. He's having good Range but he overplays emotions in most of films. But Lal not. Thats why Maniratnam rated him as most natural actor in India. Recently BigB said Lal is the finest actor in Country..

Many actors said that Kamal is best actor India has ever produced. Kamal acted in more commercial movies than Mohan lal. But that does NOT make Kamal less greater than Mohan lal. Kamal has done more variety of roles than Mohan lal.....The expressions, acting style of Mohanlal is *SAME* in all his movies..But in Kamals movie, you see wide variety between each of his movies..See his Sadma, Indian, Ek duje ke liye, You see a different kamal. please dont act like morons. Please dont try to divide India on base of north south.Why to descriminate people like mallus, marathis,biharis,tamilians..all are Indians. I am south indian also having lot of friends from north. Lot of people are also there who loves sensible cinema. For lot of northies Mohanlal may be a fat south indian super hero. But fact is he's not. He is the only star who is accalaimed critically as well the masses. May be Kamal will come to an extent. For me he is the best ever actor I have ever seen in my life.

agree.... but it all started when a guy made a comment on south indian's dress code.....
actually the truth is, hindi guys are sandwiched between western culture and indian culture.... they don't know what to follow... They could go the extent of western culture and at the same time they could not follow the conservative indian culture.... that's the problem.... But south indian are not like this, they follow their own culture...
We dravidans might fight with ourself for water issue,like kaveri, mullai periyar, and other issues... but as a dravidan, we don't bend to this hindi guys.....
