the product is there. making it is the creators right. accept it or reject it. that is you right. the issues in it, be it riots, homosexuality, violence, love, or for that matter any other subject, does not matter. Each person, depending on his or her minset have a right to accept or reject. this applies to most things in life, not only movies.

People of all back ground have there say. There socio-economic background are vital for any remark they make. This way they satisfy there ego. If one movie of an actor can create that much criticism it says volume about the peoples mental state how much a movie can prevail over there day today life. What an actor has portrayed in a movie is as if for some one that they are pretendig it as a dooms day has very near for our society. In this game all sort of creature of our society are involved be it comman man or media people or so called learned people. One thing is a sure people have lot of time to bother about a film and pass their view to prove his or her veiw.

IN THE NAME OF CREATIVITY

If in future any director comes with the idea of a love story between a man and his daughter-in-law,he may just do it, saying it can happen depending on the circumstances(creativity)and it was an experimental role and its different and it should be looked just as another film ,someone might have already started working on the script. The whole thing is that ke bhaiya sabse bada rupaiya.

well some indians are born hypocret. they know what is going on the society but shouts when it is displayed public. In villages mainly there are incidence like father in law raped his daughter in law and other nasty things. what abt those things. Money matters. An actor works for money also, are u someone away from it. then this place is not for you man. watch a movie called Nishabd and appretiate the art. Nobody has asked for your slame knowledge about acting and amitabh. nobody cares for a moronic view.

go little further purple,

In the name of creativity, tomorrow let Jaya bhaduri act in the love story with a 16 year old boy (and claim that this has happened a lot in real life in India).

Instead of all explanations, let these actors say they are prepared to do anything just for MONEY. In a way I better appreciate RGV for his frank comment.

Mr.Chandran I don't think ,Bachchans would take so easy if Jaya acts in such a film. They are not rational or broad minded enough to really accept it if a woman does something like that. They made a big issue for really nothing in dhoom2 , he at this age can act in films like Nishabd and cheeni kum in the pipeline and can act as sexy sam and in films like Boom and dancing with lots of women in k3g and can even act in kissing scenes in black etc , same goes with Abhishek he can dance with semi nude woman in title song of bluffmaster and can act in kissing scenes in naach etc.Hypocrites and the sad thing is that many women are in defence of them.

BIG B is Right
by krishnendu mukherjee on Mar 12, 2007 02:14 PM

Amitabh said this right. poeple have every right to express their views and they can. Nishad is a nice film and it deserves acclaims. but i dont think it is a movie for masses and neither it can have great box office.

Well Bachchan was right again KANK and DON were two most overhyped films which got below collections than expected. In comparison GURU stands tall in collections. So there is no harm in comparison. And I think the most comments regarding amitabh praising abhishek for guru is because he is his son. If he would have been some other actor then the reaction would note have been there. But sometimes we are mean too. do we at any point think abhishek was bad or not good in GURU. someon he alone carried the movie and he deserve the praise for it. And what matters if it is from the most successful actor of bollywood-his father

Dear Amitabh,

You are being targeted because you are doing silly things. You are praising UP instead of criticising it for bad law and order situation, you are praising your son at every given opportunity for one genuine hit after 1001 flops. And the most disgusting of them all is to get Aishwary married to the tree...huh!!!

folks agreed, all said and done. i am just trying to think loudly. hear the director has boldly shown the 60 year old man as a 60 year old character and the lady as 18. and there are people boiling there blood and letting off steam from there nostrils and wasting tons of paper and e space.
y dont you people raise the uproar when actors of more or less ages acts with there leeding ladies in the movies who are barely in their twentiees running around the tree singing and dancing hot steamy sizzling numbers. I know truth is always bitter difficult to handle. grow up folks

Nisabd is not an art film or commercial film.it is a rather compromise film.Amithbh has performed very well in the film. Why amitabh is being target is simple.Bachan is so popular and any body who criticises Bachan becomes more popular and gets fee publicity

Nishabd - Controversy.
by shirish bhaskar deshpande on Mar 12, 2007 01:58 PM  | Hide replies

When a Person like Amitabh Bachhan is doing a film like Nishabd, he cannot shrug off his resposibility by merely saying that his job is to act.
He is a kind of Hero not only in India but all over the world. Whatever he does in the film has got direct impact on the masses. He has been involved in many social programmes (Pulse Polio for ex) and many more.
Does it mean that he really advocates the idea of a 60 year old man getting involved in a 16 year old girl ? That is definitely absurd to show it as an art work,as it is definitely not in line with our culture.
Is Mr Bacchan going to approve an affair of his 16 year old grand daughter with a 60 year old man ?
To justify his stand he has to answer in affirmative.
Dear Mr Bachhan, we need an answer from u on this.

Yes iam totally aware of the news about that Professor & Julie. The media is unnecessarily giving publicity to that affair.
The result - i don't know whether u have heard about it or not - yesterday a school teacher from Chandigarh elloped with his 16 year old girl student. He claims that they are in love.
The situation will get worse if these type of actions are given unnecessary exposure.
This is a bad practice & needs to be curbed.
Hope you understand the gravity of the act & the overall effect it will have on our culture.
