Shilpa was not even close to "smart" and did not win by her acts.

Is this racism? UK people just wanted to prove a point that they were not racists though there was not racism involved.

what rubbish are you guys spouting? big brother was a show, and she dint deserve to win it, that was my point. Have you seen big brother show? atleast, do you guys know anything about it?
If I say some cricket team did not deserve to win a match, will you start saying playing cricket is better than IT, etc.,. etc.,.?? Ive never seen such an orthogonal and idiotic argument in my entire life.
I bet there is no way you could justify comparing shilpa's dumbness in the show with middle class values, sex supression, jealousy et al.

Parents force their kids to go into engineering or medicine due to their fixation on having 'status' in society and to then brag it to constantly whining relatives, (our kid is so hyper intelligent and all that blah blah)as a result a child is burdened with doing something he really does not want to do.
Indian middle class is indeed hypocratic with huge greed and status and class consciousness and they do all stupid religious activities while being corrupt and cheats in their day to day life and think they can attain god !
Of course when they see celebs making huge money and enjoying their lives without following middle class 'values' or 'traditions' they are bound to feel jealous, and that shows up in online forums.
Due to their parental pressure over caste and gotra match in regards to marriage partners, Most end up with ugly partners which if given choices they wont touch with a barge pole, and when they see celeb with beautiful partners, they are again bound to feel jealous and loser.
Shilpa is a celeb. She is only doing her job and making money, and living a free life. Is that a problem to some losers, well she doesn't care really.

It is her JOB to entertain by singing, dancing, or histrionics, and the get paid for it well. Nothing bad about this. People should follow their natural god gifted talents. She has beauty and talent for acting and glamour industry, and she used it plus her acting in cryin and shit to finally win the day.
I don't know why some idiots consider celebrities as dumb. They make good money by doing their things. Idiot middle class have to work like coolies day in and day out, and that's why they feel jealosy and then bad mouth.
Most of the celebs also dont have to follow sick middle 'values' or stupid 'traditions' like suppression of women, and behaving like hyprocratic AH, suppresing sex and free meeting between sexes. I see a great loser kind of frustration there, and hence they have to take up that pent up frustration somewhere; and what better place than anonymous cowardly comments on internet.
Should everyone become an IT coolie and follow the herd ?
People should follow their natural god gifted talent and that's exactly what Shilpa did.

Winning some TV show seems like winning the Ms. World to her. She seems to be spending more time in UK, than in her so called 'mother-land' which she spoke of at length when she was so called 'abused'
