This is the reply to Ronin's question "Why telugu girls don't become heroine". I and answering his innocent query to make my point across least it get lost in the maze of replies to his query
I have the answer for your innocent query. You don't exploit / make them wear skimpy outfits / expose / flirt with the girls of your clan / tribe / caste.
And last but not least you cannot ask them to clear the "Casting Couch Test"
The Telugu industry is run mostly by the K-R-K trio of the caste in Andhra (Kamma - Reddy - Kappu).
They don't allow even non-KRK clan / caste girls to flourish and make a name for them in the industry
The last option is Bombay girls who are eager to make a quick buck and exit this industry after latching to an NRI groom. And NRI girls come here for pass-time because they don't have anything good to do in the country where they have been brought up. After the desires are met they latch to some upcoming non-KRK guy of the industry, stage a suicide drama and ruin the careers of their's and as well of their bakara hero
Such heroines can be played around.
You can get away by passing your choicest "Cuss" words in Telugu to them and they don't understand a bit of it and rest of the gang can have a blast at your expense.
You can man-handle them without an iota of doubt that you will hounded to the nearest police station. Remember what a leading star / producer / director has done to the sibling of another Bombay heroine. he had slapped her across her face in full view of the public. Her crime was... as that man has perceived she is not a "fresh as a flower" (pun intended) heroine to be casted besides his "d%uFFFDbutante hero son". She has already acted in a Hindi movie as a supporting actor.
Same with the case of leading actor roles minus the exploitation.
The KRK bigwigs won't allow any boy from other caste to flourish in the industry in Lead Actor role. The non-KRK guys are regaled to do supporting / silly and bull shit comedy roles not even a villain.

Its not KRK excuse, its all because south indian directors are obsessed with chubby & fair looking girls thats why they cast mostly north indian girls who are not successfull in bollywood like Simran,Khushboo,Sakshi Shivanad & many more.

so it's caste goondaism in movies just like it is kammas in TDP and Reddy in Congress.
I have not seen her films. Living in Kerala I am not likely to get a chance. But from what I have seen on TV and mags, this is a really beautiful girl.
not many ppl..know abt her 2nd movie..GAME(remake of taxi no 9211 in telugu!!) which went unnoticed!! :D she played the lead opposite to mohan babu's son!! she was pathetic!! ewwwwwwwwww.. n she sucks big time on 'big screen'!!

and this is a reverse of why NTR came to power in 1982. People were very defensive about their regional identity at that time, because many were hurt by how central leadership in Congress treated the state. They have even gone to the extent of naming the party as Telugu Desam, litterally mean Telugu Nation like the tamils do. Now the roles are reversed again. People have voted to congress, with full force. Sonia gets her maximum mandate from Andhra.

I agree with your point. Local telugu girls are not that much inclined to show-off their skin.
Another point is, whoever comes to telugu film domain, industry people will explore beauty in every angle in romantic sense unlike other film industries.

that's hpyocrisy when you say local girls are not inclined to show-off skin. It implies people like to not showoff their girls but watch what others got to show. Or are people racist. or both. or do they not like their own skin. which is it.

"about exploring beauty in romantic sense" , you should see others movies more frequently and see if you can make the same comment. Tamil cinema is much better in technical standards or exploring romance. They sell like hote cakes more than Telugu. Infact many Tamil movies are dubbed into telugu for that reason. Maybe telugu is a bit better than Hindi movies in that angle for now.

I think Telgu men have some complex. They want white skinned Punjabi girls to be heroines. Deep within they feel their girls are not as good (and the ones who are will run away like Jayapradha etc.). Basically it is a slave mentality like you said. That is why they dont mind doing any kind of slave work/lying/cheating to stay in the US in a country of mostly white people.

Even kollywood love to get girls from Bollywood or Malluwood. Why blame Tollywood?

No yar. She is a Naidu. But her forefathers settled in TN for over 10 generations
heroes strong and heroines beautiful. Nothing wrong in that. Lets not expect too much from acting people, they are only there for entertainment. You want brains, go to the scientists

Heros not strong or good looking. Mostly pick-pocket types. Look at Chiranjeevi, his brother, Venkatesh etc.
