Shivaji is a remake of Chirageevi starrer Telgu movie 'Tagore' and has fight sequences lifted from the english movie 'Martix'. Rajani's Chandramuki ,the biggest tamil grosser has a storyline similar to a Malayalam movie and frame to frame copy of Kannada superhit 'Aptamitra' .Moreover rajani has recently bought the remake rights of Kannada classique movie 'Duniya' for a whooping sum. What a pity , so called superstar cannot produce a decent original movie.

Do you know that Tagore is the remake of Tamizh film Ramana? Chiru also copied 2 x Munnabhai. Do not give wrong info here.

First of all Apthamithra is itself is a remake of the malayalam hit Manichithrathaazh which made Shobhana win National Award for best actress... Chandramukhi had made many changes in the climax.... and that dhuniya film's rights is for his son inlaw dhanush's next pjt... Accept the fact that there is somethin in rajinikanth which makes his every film a big hit.... which i think no other hero possesses....

Hi Man, First thing is that Tagore is a remake of Ramana(Vijaykanth is the hero). That is all about Corruption and that point taken from Bharateyudu(Indian in Tamil, this is also SANKAR's film). Shivaji is all about black Money. Also Chandramukhi is offical remake of malayalam flick Mani Chitra Taju(Not copied). Aptamitra also remade from the above movie.

matrix is a remake of ABs coolie which copied mazarederthayuligafer from malayalam, which by the way was a copy of the great russian classic Kosterkoliz, though ruomour has it that Quentin Tarantino did attempt a remake of the hit tamil film thazilazemanan bbut failed miserably and ultimately made something which resembled the telugu film kakaliyureundu.

I agree 100%. I would never really watch films made by the BHATTS, they think they are making serious cinema and justifying their acts as forward thinking and being modern. In reality they are sick people who are destroying cinema in india.

This train is a copy of the failed English movie called 'The Derailed'. Just b4 Train, Tamil director Gautam copied and made it as 'Pachai kili muthu saram' which was much more decent in execution than Train.

Right AB and Rajni are no match for a monkey. He just makes funny faces, while the other true are legends.
No doubt Shivaji is sickeningly ridiculous and JBJ is no beter.Shivaji is as stupid as other DUMBSTAR RAJNIKANTH'S movies.Sadly most of his movies are barely upto the standard.I stronlgy believe that RAJNIKANTH should start looking at the scripts carefully before taking a movie,else he'll end up doing the same stupid and dumb characters. Atleast after being there in movie industry for so long, he should start acting mature and not make a mockery of himself.

Hey preity, after hearing u on radio and raving abt ur movie (JBJ), u should be ashamed of urself when u say that people will understand the movie when they see it the 2nd time. It was worst when seen for the first time and u expect a person to see it for a second time to understand the movie. How shamful u can get. Tell the director of the movie, it was teh worst movie.
Altough, I am born in Mumbai and don't understand Tamil, I respect them. Even Americans have niggers and blacks. Still they respect Densel Washington, Mike Tyson and Will Smith. Do they call them black pigs, jokers and beggers. If rajni film, Sivaji is doing well, then respect him.
As far as my or our bollywood movies are concerned, we cannot watch it with families. This Indian culture or fashion is not moving with such a fast pace as bollywood films. The reason is bollywood try to ape everything with Hollywood. Directors like Mahesh Bhatt watch Hollywood movies and then they invent a secript inspired by that movie. South Indian film looks outdated according to non south indians, but they represent or shows what actually goes in the society, unlike Bollywood movies like Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Salam Namaste etc. There is hardly any social section which represents them and then movies like Cheeni Kum, Nishabd. In small villages, elders respect young.. but bollywood has no individuality of itself as major blockbusters are inspired by telugu/tamil version. Rest they copy from Hollywood. So please, respect tamils/telugu movies as they respect india

Which Tamizh movie did you find outdated. Bollywood before started copying Holly, they were remade all south movies for 4 years, where the south movie is hit or not. Why they remade a out-dated movie?

very true. in evry field we should respect the acheaver be it tamil movie or hindi movie.
Personally i think rajanikanth is a good actor and a great start. Who cares if the target comsumers enjoy to see some so called awkword actions (there are some well known sceans from his movie)!! afterall we love to watch pirates of carribean, Harry potter, fantastic four then what is the problem with Rajni's movie?

What an observation by Trade analyst Komal Nahta..........i mean only experts like Komal can come up with an answer like that...i f had to come up with exactly the same review Rediff wud've rejected it out right.......My point here is....if u(Rediff) want to get a great review then get someone who knows what they are talking abt in terms of technical aspects like cinematography, editing etc and creative aspects like the script etc.....and u call that person a trade analyst....it seems to be a figment of imagination....
