i think the movie which has got all the biggies in the industries working together has done its best. let me tell u that the film had to inclue shankars sentimental social message and rajnis style and high budget frm AVM. Now rajni is very old and we cant expect more frm the super star.Hes done his best and has well kept up his identity.Shankar had to involve the message as well as styles devoted to super star. so he has balanced it by giving the first half to SS and the second half to the story. nothin wrong. the film has not done stupidity by involving SS in stills such as in JBJ. All have played their part and this is a tribute to the star thats all. plz understand this . and to all those critisising the star plz dont post views those who mdo not even know the language. or the profile of tsmil cinema. it has given grt hits .of a grtno. and in hindi or ne other language very few to name. THALA ROCKS!!!

Here is the reason. Why Newton Committed Suicide.....
Once, Newton came to India and watched a few Tamil movies that had his head spinning. He was convinced that all his logic and laws in physics were just a huge pile of junk and apologized for everything he had done.
In the movie of Rajanikanth, Newton was confused to such an extent that he went paranoid. Here are a few scenes
1) Rajanikanth has a Brain Tumor which, according to the doctors can't be cured and his death is imminent. In one of the fights, Rajanikanth is shot in the head. To everybody's surprise, the bullet passes through his ears taking away the tumor along with it and he is cured! Long Live Rajanikanth!
2) In another movie, Rajanikanth is confronted with 3 gangsters. Rajanikanth has a gun but unfortunately only one bullet and a knife.
Guess, what he does?
He throws the knife at the middle gangster? & shoots the bullet towards the knife. The knife cuts the bullet into 2 pieces, which kills both the gangsters on each side of the middle gangster & the knife kills the middle one.
3) Rajanikanth is chased by a gangster. Rajanikanth has a revolver but no bullets in it. Guess, what he does. Nah? not even in your remotest imaginations.
He waits for the gangster to shoot. As soon as the gangster shoots, Rajanikanth opens the bullet compartment of his revolver and catches the bullet. Then, he closes the bullet compartment and fires his gun. Bang... the gangster dies...

i think Mr.sanjay has gone mad. u may have tumors. i infer that some scenes would do u good. u need not waste time on proving that ur views are ridiculous. pls watch movies such as those of big b's JBJ and tara rum pum which involves a lot of logic and u can develop a whole lot of knowledge f4rom them. newton comited suicide due to people like u and HR's songs horrible aren't they?!!!1 have a nice day.

LOL! Your post is very funny. What about movies like matrix?? Why all are watching movies like that?? Movie is just for entertainment. There is no rule saying that a movie has to consider laws of physics. Take it easy. If you don't like it, just forget. If you like it, enjoy it. Have a nice day.
It is an excellent movie overall! There are some lows in the movie but this wat best of the all the other movies! Don't find fault with minor things. If you r so perfect, why don't u make a better movie and prove that. If you think r a critic then you should think of finding another job man! Becose nothing is perfect in this world...not even your nose, mouth, face or your whole body. Live with it :)

It was rajni's movie all the way. This is not for those who walk into the hall more as shankar's fans than rajni's. Its a treat to all those who were dying to see the superstar sizzle on screen. And sizzle he does, in all the lighter scenes in the 1st half, and more so when he switches to aggressive mode in the 2nd half. The highlight of the movie is the last 20mins!! Mottai boss wearing a black trench coat, tapping his bald head, flipping his glasses back and forth and walking his trademark nonchalant, stylish walk had me jumping and screaming!! The 2nd half was ammmmazing and rajni's entry in the adhiradi song was terrific!! The entire song was done well with some funny, yet stylish stunts.
Now for some of the minuses - though the comedy sequences were good in the 1st half, they could have been shortened a bit coz it felt as though they were totally off-track. Critically speaking, the plot and the way the hero goes about implementing stuff lacked the depth and innovation expected from a shankar's movie. But rajni's movies have never had substantial plots anyways. And its amazinnng how rajni's screen presence eclipses all these flaws. Though rajni's intro was good, I missed the usual adrenaline pumping intro scene followed by the intro song. Has shankar tried to be different at the wrong place here? And dont we miss the cigarette trick?!!! Imagine mottai boss jumping out of the chopper, pushin aside his coat and popping a cig while walking his usual stylish walk!! sighhhh.

I think you must be young. So why can't you be a super hero like rajni??? I am sure you can never make it in your life. Talking is simplest thing that one can do. Age is not at all a barrier to influence people. Rajni has that potential. And one more thing, who told you to watch his movies if you don't like him??

It is not recognised world wide with world wide people. It is people from Tamil Nadu settled abroad who watch these movies making it a "World Wide" phenomenon. Otherwise go and ask any firangi whether he knows Rajni. You will be disappointed I am sure.

Very funny. Nobody in Bollywood can copy Rajni's antics. Those suit only on clowns and he is the biggest clown of India. Taking ridiculous amount of money for 1 movie. And working with heriones who are young enough to be their daughters. Why doesnot he plays role which suits his age. Should learn from Big B who has stopped dancing around trees with heriones long back.

Shivaji is a remake of Chirageevi starrer telgu movie'Tagore' and has fight sequences lifted from the english movie 'Martix'. Rajani's Chandramuki ,the biggest tamil grosser is the remake of Kannada/Malayalam movie 'Aptamitra' and moreover rajani has recently bought the remake rights of Kannada classique movie 'Duniya' for a whooping sum.

Rajni's movies more than 95% are copied from other languages. Buddy small correction...TAGORE itself is a remake of tamil movie called 'RAMANA' Chandramukhi was a remake of Malayalam movie and not kannada.!!!!!

Dear Shashank, you are right. First Manichitrathazhu was copied in Kanada and latter into Tamil. And tell me in india, who which regional film industry don't copy including bollywood also. 90% of the hindi movies are either copied or most frequently used terminology "inspired" from Hollywood. so its bad to comment on copying. Rajnikanth delivers all that you want, the same way we go for watching the big b movie. Both the stars, at this age are the best of all and carry the entire film on their old shoulder. hence lets not critize on the making a film. It is very easy to do so, but the difficulty in making the same is a really tough one.

First of all Martrix fight sequences are lifted from English to Tollywood block buster movie "Athadu". Peter Hein is the master who first provided this English matrix sequences to Tollywood and this is lifted/copied to Sivaji...

Sivaji is a very good movie, not as intense as Indian , Anniyan or Muthalvan but more in the mould of Gentleman and Kathalan with lots of fun.Add Thalaivar's super histrionics to the mix and you have entertainment unlimited
