Sarvanan, Devaneesh are right to an extent but please don%u2019t get upset if someone comes up with a valid point. There is no doubt that Rajni is a bigger star(not actor, that is debatable) than Amitabh, Shahrukh, etc. The simple proof is the amount of money his films (not just Shivaji but all other films that he%u2019s done) have made, his fan following and the mass hysteria he generates. In fact, movie stars in south India enjoy a larger than life status to the extent of it being ridiculous. Remember the riots in Bangalore after Rajkumar%u2019s demise? The extent to which movie stars are given importance is downright stupid. But before anything else is said, let this be said that the quality of south Indian movies (at least some) are indeed far superior to those made in Bollywood, leave alone ones made in north Indian regional languages like Bhojpuri, Punjabi, etc. If you%u2019re talking law and order, civic behavior, clean roads and other civic amenities, most places down south are far, far ahead of any place in Bihar or UP (with the exception of Noida and nearing areas which are more of an extension of New Delhi). This is a fact guys, accept it and do something about it. We would want states like UP, Bihar to come up and be the best states in whole of India in terms of employment, safety, roads, electricity, drinking water. Rajesh, Prem, you guys accept it and do your bit to change things. You cannot deny the present reality but I%u2019m sure you can change the future.

Guess what, Mr Sumit Dutta..
Most of Malaysian Indian here dreaming to see India as superpower rather than this North-South Indian issue..
If we of other different origins of India lift their hands accepting each other advantages.. Trust me, a new India is born..
Just imagine of creating hub culture and food center of all sub-indian races in each states.. Estimated more than 5 thousands indians get business in each states.. Well, just a thought that counts..
Truth is that India has more advantages by having more sub-races but sadly pin-pointing the faults of others.. Learn and grow rich..
If south india growing rapidly along with gujerat, make a cross-border business and technology.. Make it a duplicate of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andra Pradesh in North India.. Where as duplicate of Gujerat and Goa in South India.. Just imagine, that pondicherry as next Goa..

OH Com%u2019on Sumit. Don%u2019t be bias. Do you think other states of north India like bangal, orisa,MP,Chatishgar, Jharkhand,Rajasthan etc have solve the problem of employment, safety, roads, electricity, drinking water etc. More or less every state has this problem in India, forget about south India.

There is huge following of Ajith, Madhavan, Vijay, Kamal Hassan, Rajni, Surya, Vikram in South East Asia..
Quite a few years back, the khans had similiar impact here.. But after witnessing same-old trend of copied bollywood stories, hardly people watch hindi movies in cinema.. can say about less than 20 of them per show.. We even can count heads during first day show of Dhoom 2 and Don..
RE:Fans
by Basant Panda on Aug 01, 2007 01:30 PM
this kind of fanaticism is avoidable...however we must accept the truth sportingly..heroworshiping of filmstars is not a healthy sign of an so called "100%" literat/educated society...it is more prevalent in south...Rajni/Kamal/Chiranjeevi has more fanclubs than Amitabh or khans.....Amitabh has more flops than hits to his credit because here people don't watch movies just because it stars their favorite star like in south people watch movies very religiously.....
RE:RE:Fans
by devanesh on Aug 08, 2007 10:51 AM
Rajini and kamal's fans aren't like what u trying to say.. These two titans have more larger fans from overseas than within tamil nadu/south.. Go n witness in thailand, malaysia, singapore, south africa, indonesia and even japan.. Where else, Amitabh is xerox copy of "Brando".. many are saying that.. Worse is Shah Rukh Khan.. People are laughing at him.. For your info., most of hindi movies are copycat and thatz why, we hardly watch them.. Lagaan and Kisna is exceptional but out of how many..
Even our famous football defender-captain name is Rajnikanth..
First Hats off to Ajit for the daring effort to do a very good movie with no heroics. But even if he wish to provide very good dishes to the tamil audiance, they denied to accept it. That is the route cause for this change in climax. Already he had the same bitter experience in "MUGAVAREE" another beautiful film attempt by ajit. This change in climax in a very good realistic movie "Kireedom" show what worst path the tamil films are moving towards( without their knowledge they accepted the movies like "Mozhi" and "Paruthiveeran" as they don't have a popular hero). Here in most cases the audiance(mostly within age group 15 to 25 ) don't like to swallow the TRUTH that was intimated through the film. They will say they came to movie for enjoyment only. so they really want to enter into a world that is impossible. This show the mentality of the most cinegoing people(future generation). They want only false(people, world, relationship) because they think honest is a bad word to be heared or only used by jokers. By protesting against good movies by famous stars, they will afraid to do this kind of good realistic films. So after the result of "Kireedom" movie don't blame any popular stars (Especailly AJIT ) for not doing good movies.

Show some respect to your fellow countrymen, and treat others with dignity. Dont stoop so low by mocking at regional-accents. If you think you belonged to the elite-class, I'm sorry, you've already hit 'abysmal depths', by showing your intolerance for others.

Hello Simi, I'm forced to retaliate. If you follow the highhanded posts by some of these 'superstar' fanatics here and in other blogs, you will realise why I resort to writing such posts. I always dig for mature discussions. But there are some fanatics here who blow their own trumpet beyond tolerable limits.

you are the one getting mad, not able to withstand others growth. They are just praising some one thats it. They dint voluntarily insult any north indian actors unless otherwise ppl like you scrawl something here. ask yourself whether are you becoming fanatic abt north india or hindi actor.

you senseless idiot... More than a star, Rajini is also a normal fellow countrymen who does more to the society than what others do.... Also listen to his Punch dialougs.... SIMPLE AND GREAT MEANING.....Take those and lead a positive life rather than absuing a person who is the favourt of the masses not only in tamilnadu but across the globe (he has a lot of fans in Japan and in the Singapore).....

This guy, Rajesh is not meant for mature discussions.. Just like another hindi wallahs who have nothing much praise his own backyard n finding trouble into his neighbours' yard..
If trully he is matured guy, why can't he discuss on how pathetic bollywood is to copied south indian, hollywood and even hong kong movies.. Worst is that collective of talented actors they have but hardly recognised.. The rest are simply for looks..
