The accent of his hindi in Aag is very very bad. It sounds like a typical mallu At least the dialogues delivered by him could have been dubbed by any other.
bein a north indian, havent seen much of mohanlal's work...except in COMPANY...and amazin is jus one of the words that come to my head.he did that role with so much conviction and realism...u could feel that he wanted to erase underworld from the city.thats hallmark of a great actor.to be very honest(i am a die-hardest amitabh fan)mohanlal is the only reason besides amitabh that i am gonna watch RGV'S AAG.critics be damned!!!!!!!!!!!mohanlal, sir, way to go.....
Mohanlal Vs Bachchan in RGV Ki Aag These two titans will finally share screen space Preeti Arora |
Mohanlal's Hindi film, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, has been in news ever since it was launched. The film will finally be released on August 31. It has been directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Mohanlal will playing the role of an encounter specialist named Narasimha. Suchitra Krishnamoorthy is playing Mohanlal%u2019s wife.
So far, Mohanlal has only been seen in two Hindi films, Kala Pani and Company. Kala Pani was not a huge success commercially but Mohanlal recieved a lot of acclaim for his role. Then came Ram Gopal Varma's Company in 2002. This role fetched him the IIFA and Filmfare awards for best supporting actor.
Now ardent Mohanlal fans are eager to catch their favourite actor pitted against Amitabh Bachchan. Finally, these two titans will share screen space in RGV Ki Aag.
First of all, a national award winning actor should not be asked such stupid questions. He is a mass Hero, a superstar recognized for his amazing acting talent. As he said, he does films for the masses, to entertain them and by doing varying roles he shows his versatility. He can enact any role with ultimate ease. So instead of being a critic of his choices, enjoy his acting abilities and the entertainment he provides to a common man who feels it is worth his money and time to watch Mohanlal's movies in Kerala.
South Indian Films and Actors are given very less recognition compared to films and actors in Bollywood. The marketing, hype and Budget of the films also vary. But still the south Indian films come up very well and still not recognized. Mohanlal is one of those actors who has all the talent in the world but a bit unlucky to be a Malayalam actor.
I think the film "AAG" will be watched very closely by all critiques and common man. No doubt comparison will be made as to who has performed better-Mohan Lal or Big B, especially after the close contest between them in the race for the National"Best Actor" award
Mohan lal and mammooty are among the best and most matured actors in the film industry. No doubt Shahrukh Khan and Amirkhan are phenomenon in bollyowood but the kind of roles and the variety played by M&M are too broad,Vast and too good to even compare with Khans. Bollywood actors must let go their image and do variety roles.Just analyse sharukh, he has done anti hero roles in some movies , then just vanished !!! Most of his movie characters remain /act the same.theres a lot of improvement to be done in this area.Believe the change is around the corner with movies like Chak de and Dhoom 3 and fanaa. All the best !!
Mohanlal should have been discussed by his acting skills and the kind of roles he does in parallel cinema. He should not be made fodder for petty quarrel between tamils and malayalees.
There is no doubt about Mohanlal's talent as an actor. But off late he has been doing too many of this meaningless "Action" stuff which unfortunately even the masses are not interested in. After Narasimham, I cant really think of any such action films of his that has gained popularity. And again, what made Mohanlal popular was not action scenes but his humble films like Thalavattom, Chithram, Midhunam etc. Chotta Mumbai and Hallo were good enough to watch... ofcourse with brainslocked elsewhere... but films like Chathurangam, Onnaman, Praja and such similar crap can be avoided!
