Yes she is from Karnataka. She is Prakash Padukone's (The famous Badminton player) daughter.
Rani Mukherjee was a great actress but her time is over. Deepika Padukone will become the next Rani Mukherjee; just wait and watch. She will make an outstanding debut with Om Shanti Om and will sweep all the Best Female Newcomer Awards next year. She is starring with Akshay Kumar in Nikhil Advani's next film and has also bagged the Krrish sequel opposite Hrithik. Deepika will rule Hindi Cinema for the next decade.

he said I am same from her native place .......translated.. he is same male deepika padukone from her native place. Thats why you should not bunk english grammar classes.
she studied in US but speak to her in kannada and you will be pleasantly surprised. in this aspect she will put aishwarya and shilpa and isha koppikar to shame. well, aish, shilpa and isha speak fluent tulu.

Deepika gave one Interview in Udaya TV for Promoting her movie 'Aishwarya', she spoke in Kannada with very Fluency and She was very Natural, not Showing off as she is Super Model, etc...Thats Y I like Deepika a Lot..

she is in shabana azmi mould as far as her persona goes. i am not too sure of her acting skills. but one thing is very sure, from the 20 minutes i spent watching her in a party, she is very natural off screen and thats a great compliment to her great father for her upbringing. i must mention aishwarya here. off screen she too is very natural, contrary to many opinions.

Oh Yeah... Thats again u r correct, It matters how Girls behave in the Society straight away goes to their Parents for their Upbringing...In that Way AISH is also good...But her Off-Screen Image is Not too Good, so Many Affairs, So Many Controversy, Etc...But In that Context Deepika is Good...Hope she wont involve in any Such Things...

Thats neither Controversy nor an Affair which gets more media Attention like Ash personal Life... Who knows after all she is in Show-Biz, Media and People Looks for more of their Personal Lives than their Professional Ones..
I know she is very young and tall but can anyone tell me her height.She looks very well grommed and carry herself well just like her fantastic,talented and goodlooking father.Its intresting to see new faces and i hope they do well.
