Big loss

He was my favourite during my college days and early work career. It would be very difficult to pick one as all of his novels are really good BUT if i have to pick it would be "If tomorrow comes" and "Other side of Midnight". I used to read his novels in a couple of weeks - they were so Brilliant! We will miss him...May god rest his soul in peace.

A Story-Telling Genius
by on Feb 01, 2007 05:53 AM

I have been reading (and re-reading) Sidney Sheldon novels for over 3 decades, and find it difficult to pick a favourite. The Other Side of Midnight is right up there; but whenever I read Master of the Game, I can't believe what a gripping story he tells. Doomsday Conspiracy - so different!! But, like every Sheldon novel, so difficult to put down! I was so excited when he wrote more novels, after proclaiming in the late 80's that he was finished writing books. Even his autobiography, Memories of Me, was a page-turner... I didn't expect that! It's a well-known fact for those who know me, that Sidney Sheldon is my all-time favourite author. His novels will always grace the shelves of my library, and will be passed on in my family, as my daughters also enjoy his stories, and they know how much they mean to me. It was a sad day for me today - he felt like a friend. Rest in peace, Sidney - you've made a dent in my life, as well as many, many others.

It is indeed very hard to rank his works. Every novel is very unique with amazing suspense and a fine story line. It has never failed to raise the pulse of the reader chapter to chapter. Alas what a loss. May his soul rest in peace.
