I can call that lady one of the traiters. I do not care she own the Big show or not. She changed tact and lied conveniently. Ofcourse, I really appreciate the British public as they slapped on Goody but what Goody did is a fact. If she can not stick with the fact and lie conveniently, I do not like her to pronounce my country's name. She is nothing but a trainter. Satya

SHILPA IS A DISGRACE ON ALL INDIANS WORLDWIDE. SHE HAS DENIED RACISM AND DID NOTHING, SUCH A SISSY SHE IS. SHE SHOULD JUST GO BACK TO INDIA
Rediff.com is just another inane and asinine extension of a worthless page 3. Grow up rediff. It's only a crap tv show where our so-called Ms 'A-Grade' Shetty was competing with either z-grade celebs or the scum of UK.And the show is over.So get done with this news bit asap. How does such crap even manage to make the headlines of our media. This only shows that we're still prisoners to being awed by whatever the West does no matter how trashy it is and our media encashes this mentality of ours to aggravate it further. The Indian media should stop this embecile reporting at once.

Well Said Indiana Jones! couldn't have been said better. Whatever you said about rediff is 110% correct! Stay away from it, it just another trash from so called media.

This is why I stick with Yahoo. So much better. No nonsense. Search engine is google. and job site is Monster.com. Cricket scores... maybe rediff. But thats about it!
This win is not a big win... She just won due to emotional of NRI's. If she is in India, she has to face real competition of Indian industry. If she was talented upto so many days where was hidden she otherwise she may at top position. So this is not a big win. This is only stunt created by british channel to get audience on TV. That's all. These people have not accepted Aish/ Sush although they are world beauti contest winner but non acceptance in the internation films...
Come back to INDIA and start it as just another day. Let the world follow u and see what u do everyday. Tell the world that winning BIG brother is no BIG DEAL. There r lots of other things back home which are important to be done. So huney ... get modest and let the world again follow u and INDIA

Was she representing India ? Was it a contest among countries ? An actress acting in a progamme has been hyped by media. Useless drama. National Holiday should be declared on this grand success of INDIA.

Do you people think that by speaking up here will make any impact on Shilpa or rediff. Why you people are wasting your good amount of energy by posting at a site which is a total crap. It will be better if we dont write anyhthing here. This crap site will stop its nonsense discussion board automatically.
Is our country going to benefit in any ways by Shilpa Shetty winning. It is clear that she had become a part of the useless show, only for her personal gain. She shamelessly used the racism issue to gain sympathy from Indians as well as from people settled abroad. Why should one be happy or proud of the fact that she has won millions in a silly show. Is she going to spend anything towards development of the country???

Thank you for reflecting my thoughts.. I saw the show highlights on U tube. She is such a cry baby " I have never done this.. people have never talked to me... I will save my dignity ".. etc .. etc. All she talked was her and was never in the present. She has used race to her advantage making her the most race conscious person in the entire gang..
Shilpa has won a third rate show in the UK. I'm a British Indian and feel this whole fiasco has been blown out of proportion. She entered the show saying that all Indians should feel proud? What the hell was that for? There were Americans /British in the show and none of them said they represented their country. Why do Indians have such an insecurity over how they are perceived in the west? Come off it and get in terms with the rest of the world. Rediff should stop this hype and India should get a reality check. I had great expectations on my last visit, but one finds out how pathetic the conditions are when we land at the airports. Do something about it and sort out the problems before blaming the west for Racism and counting chickens long before they hatch (or long before there was anything called chickens)

Mr Abishek , never say bad against your mother country, india is better than UK in many ways and we are not in a pathetic state to support USA in all their actions, and we are not dominated by anybody and that for shilpa forget big brother ur right it a third rate show, but there ofcourse is raciasm in europian countries and ofcourse we are not chickens and we are tigers and without us the whole IT industry doesnt exist and mind you Mr Mittal is also an india.
RE:RE:Totally blown out of proportion and stop this useless hype!!
by Abishek Reddy on Jan 29, 2007 11:09 PM
I havent experienced any of it and there is more racism in India. BTW Mittal lives in the UK, his kids are British. I'm not trying to offend anyone, just saying that we should look at our own mistakes before accusing others and ofcourse not trying to find something to be proud of then be proud of it.

I think this is rediculous in manner shilpa reacted. She must understand, this is reality show. she can not just sign the contract for money. she must handle this kind of situation. I found her weak and not fit for the show. All she has done is gained sympathy from NRI living in UK. I live abroad and and I am sure for many who live abroad get victim of such comments directly or indirectly. does that mean we cry and stop working and complain.
who is she? if you really feel about the racism that stand up and fight for all ordinary people who are actually victim of racism.
and finally, I bet she would case on this issue and shamefully accept all the offers from UK company's and make her second home.

Exactly Abishek, Why dont we do something! Why! Why! Why don't you do something other than blame? Can you do something? There's opportunity to improve India and its upto everyone of us to contribute. Not just sit in another country and count our money.

Exactly Gautam, If you think Abishek (whom i dont even know) is sitting and counting money it is out of his sweat and hard work and not by crying and winning which you feel we should be proud of!!!! Hats of to you Gautam for casting us hard working indians in poor light. What Abishek mentions is absolutely true and to add to it we practise casteeism in Hindu religion, hope its not racism on my part to point it out
