i don't watch the show because i dont have access to the channel but when it comes to who is better it would have to be SRK. Although i have a lot of respect for AB t's Shahrukh who appeals to the younger audience. He's more lively and that's what attracts the viewers.

Shahrukh is a star by accident and not for his skills or acting. SRK doesn%u2019t gets into a character but he make all characters like him. Where as AB exudes natural warmth and charisma, SRK has to go hyper to create or fake it. He actually seemed defensive in his aggressive style.Where as AB moved the script,The Script is moving SRK. I shall miss the gentleness of AB. SRK sounds little snobish or sarcastic. Organizers just have to open their eyes. It is easy to hold the magic wand but it is very difficult to churn out magical things.....Shahrukh All this publicity and hype created for you is waste. It was aweful watching KBC after much promotion

i seriously & truly agree with u.SHARUKH IS PATHETIC!! Nothing compares to AB.He can only sing & dance around trees..this is not his cup of tea!!
indians i feel are going mad pulling their hairs over the comparison.Expression is good but comparison is not both amitji and sharukh khan are good at doing it in their own ways , both have different ways to display their grace charms, and wits over the people as pretty much normal human being disregarding the fact that they are actors. even we would be doing this in our normal lives, lets give them both a break, chill out and enjoy the show. The first one on 22nd jan was fantastic.
watch kbc without comparison with amitji this is good hosting .but compare so no of mistake. but diamond and gold no comparison . so lets watch kbc and enjoy . vineet choubey mumbai

I have been an ardent follower of your columns and feel sad to say that this time, you have not really voiced a fair viewpoint. I dont know why, but the review was biased and showed naked appreciation for SRK when the show, according to most people I have talked to, was hardly felt as even a comparison with the one hosted by the Big B. SRK has talent for sure, and he is great as an actor, but it is his bad reasoning that has made him try to step into the Indian icons shoes. The shoes are too big and one always has a chance to fall flat with oversize shoes. For Mr Prem Panicker, you have made me wonder whether all reviews have some monetary incentives attached to it. How can you lie about something that is so amazingly evident? Readers should not be taken for a ride. AB fans are surely more matured than SRK fans and they will hardly respond to it like the others did to Raja Sen's article. Good luck SRK and Prem ji. AB anyway does not need luck, he has much more already.

Amitabh is a far superior host than Srk>> Srk falters in terms of diction,voice modulation, grace, posture and confidence etc.(he seems over confident and sometimes shoes lack of it).. He does not even know how to use his tele-prompter.. he has reduced the Quiz show to a farce.. I'm a die-hard KBC fan.. but now I don't know what tp watch at nine..Amitabh did over 150 shows of KBC but I never felt the way I feel now.. SRK needs to do something fast, otherwise he has exposed himself of the fact that he lacks in talent!! May be he thought that starpower waws everything and talent was secondary !! It SRK therfore the press is tolerating him.. if it was anyone else than they would have unfarely tore him apart!! The press need to say the truth that SRK does not match AB , he does not even match his friend KARAN in terms of host. SRK IS NOT A GOOD ACTOR HE IS JUST LUCKY STAR BY ACCIDENT. KBC IS NOT HIS FORTE.

I am just a normal human being with no 'monetary incentives attached' to my views. But I appreciate Shah Rukh Khan's style of hosting and find him way more genuine and interesting than amitabh bachhan. to each his own, in fact i find mr.prem panickers views echoing my own! and yes, i dont know whether i am mature or not, (especially for 'AB fans') but i am a shah rukh fan and not an AB one. (and proud of it)
Shah Rukh has done his best to make his KBC different. But as viewers, we Indians are bound to take sides according to our preferences. Khan fans will vouch for him and Big B followers will stand by him. But I must say Sha Rukh Khan is trying sincerely to match or better Bachchan but perhaps he is trying a little too hard. A little more familiarity and some relaxation and I think he can do an equally good job. But I hate the gimmics and the Music. The biggest plus for Big B was he did not need a music video to sell his KBC and HE was the Icon. Shah Rukh should realize he too is big enough and does not need a stupid promo for a program that involves him. Good Luck Mr. Khan
Now there is no reason to say that Shahrukh Khan is doing BETTER than Amitabh Bachchan, I must say Shahrukh Khan is better than Amitabh no doubt in my mind. Now its time to hand over the the crown to Shahrukh, Amitabh ji. there is no doubt that u r better than anyone else but Shahrukh Khan is the BEST!!! NEW KBC is MEGA HIT!!! I luv the show and even some of my frnds who doesn't like Shahrukh says that he is the Best Actor and Human being too. Wishing all the very best to the Best actor of Alltime!!!

I really donot know how New KBC is going on becz i am not watching it but as far as comparing them as actors Amitji stands TALL as he is, its like comparing SUN(Amitji) with MOON(SKH) both gives light but of different intensity. We should also remember MOON(SKH) doesnot have light of its own, it absorbs the energy from SUN(AB) to glow in night. Somebody truely said SKH is star by ac..acc..accc..accident( i think smart people must have uderstood it).

I think Faizan is a mad person. He is thinking of Comparing Amithabh with SRK.AB is like SUN and SRK is 100 watt bulb only.SRK is a good actor every one agree but when you start comparing AB with SRK, SRK is not near by also to AB.AB is best.In term of acting wise "Acticing ke mamale me AB to SRK ke baap hote hai".

No they are not . Thats your opinion. Acting skills of Amitabh and SRK do not have to be compared here .Acting and Anchoring are 2 different things .While Amitabh was too formal and polite on the show ,SRK is more friendly and approachable.

Amitabh is gr8er than any actor in India, but is anyone can compared to him then that person is noneother than Shahrukh Khan ,Though i am a die hard fan of Amit ji but i must say after seeing 2 episodes of new KBC that Shahrukh Khan go past him, "really". If age factor is removed then we can easily get the answer that who is good (Shahrukh Khan). KBC with Amitabh Bachchan was gr8 then this one will be gr8est!!!

Shah Rukh's pandering, front-gallery act on his KBC debut made me wince. It didn't work. I was looking forward to him bringing himself to the table but instead I think he's still playing Raj or Rahul. The Big B's greatest asset is a powerful off-screen persona which we all got to see in KBC but with Shah Rukh, it's more of the same old wine in the same old bottle.
