One minister, one police officer denouncing vardi and chasing criminals, one don, few cheap overdozes of acting - wow, pehli baar dekha aur suna. I can't understand why in the first place such films should be made. The story, performances,music,lyrics can be summarized in one word - PATHETIC. Mr. Khanna should concentrate more on contributing from his enormous experience. And 3 stars by Rediff ? It's the best joke of 2007 so far. Ha Ha Ha !
Where do u guys hire the so called critique.. it seems as if Priyanka Jain (Crtique) was presenting her point of view. Give us break.. get a good crtique or stop writing review of movies.. You guys are good for nothing.
Dear Rediff, a sincere advice from a rediff loyalist. either stop posting movie reviews or at least change ur official critics. Their reviews are really an insult to the movie. I bet even a 15 year old will give you a better service at lower cost!!!
I am bit afraid to take risk to see "risk" but, lets see it. I think I'll watch it for randeep, his previous appearence when I saw in screen awards was unfortunate...a huge conversation to discuss about some legendry. I felt sorry as no one was listening to him. lol
and Guru was given 3 stars. Incredible. Rediff reviewers are too opinionated, can't objectively analyze a film and don't have critical reasoning aptitude.

exactly.. All such reviews(read as ratings) are totally from "personal perspective"; and seems nothing really based on any standards..
Rediffs good review means the movie is bad....had it been a bad review i would have seen the movie....if rediffs liked the movie...its gonna be a pathetic movie....RGV movies r gettin bad and worse by the day...come on man...give us a rangeela or satya....and make sure rediff gives u a bad review...

for ur kind information,RGV is in no way associated with this movie neither as a director/producer role.Risk is a movie by Vishram Sawant n its worth watching it.
It is worth taking a risk to see this film. The plot may be weather-beaten, straight out of the Ram Gopal Varma genre (Satya) but the treatment is graphic and authentic. The ambience is terrific and laden with an undercurrent of tension throughout. Vishram Sawant is the next trendsetter in the underworld type of films, I am sure. I liked his D too pretty well.
Randeep Hooda is tailor-made for such roles but he seems a reasonably good actor who can break out of this trigger-happy groove and come up with other types of performances.
Vinod Khanna makes a good comeback with this film. The maverick that he is, one cannot be too sure how long we will keep seeing him on the silver screen before he drops out once more from the arc lights!!
It is a well-made, gripping film with a repetitive story line.
