Since the old Karamchand was 20 years ago, maybe we have idealised it in our minds. The new KC is still better than the mindless saas-bahu stuff on every channel.

agreed we should not shun the serial so soon though i havent seen the first one but m sure it will we a big relief for saas-bahu drama haters...

Balaji film has taken K from Karamchand ... that is originator of K. It is good that Ekta is not changing the prodution name to KALAJI PRODUCTION :)))))

Well i Dont agree wid the author. KChand rocked and well was quiet a relief .The dialogues were witty ann Pankaj Kapur still rocks.
Yeah, the first episode was not up to the mark...But i'll surely watch the comin episdoes. But one think for sure by watching the latest episode,one can easily say that Karamchand was way way ahead of its time back in 80's in style,acting n music..Hatz off to PP and Pankaj Kapoor.
One should not get disappointed with the very first episode of Karamchand. Let us wait and see if Pankuj Parashar will be able to bring back the old wine in new bottle safely.
Karamchand revived old memories of my childhood.The Theme song,the carrot,the sunglasses,everything takes u back to the time that was! A very good and commendable effort in these times when stupidity was taking over the sensibilities of our generation!
why do we have to air our views just after one ep.com'on give them a chance.one thing i want to say that they should not make the police look dumb to make kchand look smart.yes we do miss ms kitty but the new one too looks equally dumb but cute.
agreed there is massive expectations from pankajs, but one should consider that that recreating the same magic is always a mammoth task. the first episode was okay(not bad at all,much better than the inane stuff being screened on channels day in day out)_they just need to upgrade the quality of supporting cast. wit and humour was quite in place. hope the coming episodes would be more exciting. by the way cant one watch this serial for its sheer nostalgic value? without unnecessary comparisons and critical analysis?
I remember seeing as a 9 year old, the first Karamchand Episode way back in Sept 1985. The first episode was not at all good as Parikishit Sahani did a fabulous work in just concluded serial "Barrister Vinod". People compared Karamchnd with him and disappointed, but after 2-3 serials later Karamchand came on his own. I hope the same this time
