Waiting for Paanch!
by ass hole on Feb 10, 2007 03:07 AM

I saw this movie when a friend lend me its pirated vcd. I hoping watch it on sunday in a theater.

But when will they release Anurag Kashyap's Paanch. The censors should wake up to this mans talent and release his movie. It may be a movie for grownups but rate it and release it!

A Movie of International standard
by RAVINDRANATH KALLYATT on Feb 10, 2007 12:22 AM

The movie was earlier screened in the MAMI film
festival and I was one of the lucky persons able to watch it then. The movie is of international standard and no body can deny it. Even ordinary
movie goers and discerning movie watcher will not hesistate to give it full mark!
Congragulations! Anurag!! Looking forward to see
such cinematic creations from you in future!!!
I sincerely wish our industry people will
recommend this movie for next oscar nomination
and I am sure it will win the prize hands down!

Anurag Kashyap, our real hope for Oscars
by V on Feb 10, 2007 12:14 AM

A laboratory is a place where several experiments are conducted where some are successful and some are not. But Anurag Kashyap is one laboratory himself which conducts only successful experiments.Anurag is an inspiration to upcoming Directors.Black Friday is a bright white ray of hope for Indian cinema to achieve real international recognition.I myself am an aspiring Director and I would definitely like to make films like him.Regards, Vihan

POWER OF CINEMA!
by Syed Munis on Feb 09, 2007 11:28 PM

GOOD is a word that is overused bcoz the standard of movies(content wise) has declined so much(except couple of exceptions like RDB & Lage Raho Munnabhai).People use good fr smth that is strictly average...Anurag Kashyap's BLACK FRIDAY is a VERY GOOD movie(& Im nt using the word GOOD in the modern day context)..when i call it good i mean it is REALLY GOOD...it is smth rare..the director presents the perspectives of every character, whether it is the ppl who carried out the notorious bombay bomb blasts or the police interrogating suspects with their families...kay kay menon portrays his character marvelously & so does pawan malhotra(wot amazing screen presence that guy has)...why the hell actors like these & pankaj kapur seen so less...its sad & pathetic that our industry dnt hv enough guts & talent to use these kinda powerhouse of talents often...& the brilliant part is that Kashyap is able to inject couple of funny sequences in such grim docu-drama(the chase scene of Imtiaz & when Parvez is caught by the police while he is takin drugs in the toilet..)..also special mention fr the guy who played Badshah Khan...he expresses so much frm his eyes & his body language...amazing talent again...KUDOS to Anurag Kashyap..Im looking forward to every film of A.Kashyap & I wish Paanch also gets released...make BLACK FRIDAY a blockbuster guys if u wanna encourage guys like involved in BF & if u crave fr gripping yet realistic cinema...TWO THUMBS UP!
