As a Director, Ramu is perhaps the best Director Hindi movies ever had.Sippy was no great shakes.Sholay was just a ONCE in a Lfetime Classic, where everything was perfect. Something like India's World Cup win in 1983.Ramu is the best I say because look at his range : Rangeela, Bhoot, Sarkar, Road, Satya, Company, Kaun (Hope I got the name right, the Mystery with Manoj Bajpai and Urmila)and lately Nishabd.Absolutely a MASTER.Sippy and the rest of the Doubters should be happy because a Remix gives new life to an OLD Bottle.Cheers to Ramu and people who do not want to watch Ramu's need not turn up.

even bhatt camp has wide variety in film making that doesn't mean they are the best.
only gangster type movies are good from RGV (exception Rangeela), rest are crap.

What rubbish is that Ramu is Best Director? Which film is know just for direcotrial acumen. He is good direcotr , may be great director but terming him Best is anover kill.
"Arre O Samba, kitne aadmi the" this dialoge is not there is orginal movie. The dialogue was 'Arre O Samba, kitna inaam rakhe hai re sarkaar humpe" or just "Kitne aadmi the" which was addressed to Kalia et al and and not Sambha!!!! Just thought or correcting :)

Mehbooba Mehbooba was sung by RD and not Asha... I don't understand which Sholay is the author talking about!! Poor and incorrect article.
I Really hope movie will be good.actors in the movie makes people intersting to watch...Original sholay has Great characters and well picturized.But that does not mean that no one else should try that....when sharuk done DON it has done good .....so according to time things change...so accept new Take of sholay.......I hope i enjoy it...hope you tooo

this film is going to be a HUGE HIT. IT WILL WIN MANY AWARDS BEST FILM BEST DIRECTOR BEST VILLIAN BEST SCREENPLAY BEST BACKGROUND SCORE BEST DIALOGUES BEST EDITING .
Sholay remade in a contemperory time-frame sounds exciting although some cast members could be different. Anyway Ramu has dared and people will watch it out of curiosity. If Aag disappoints, Ramu is doomed!
Sippy is just being a hypocrite. After all, his sholay is an almost scene by scene copy of "Once Upon A Time In West". Ramu is only following his footsteps. Sharad Chandra
