you were on right track till asked a ques. Amitabh can do DDLJ if it was made in his time how can you expect him to do DDLJ at 64? So don't compare Amitabh and SRK they both are good actors in their own respective spots.
SRKs KBC is not airing any more in television and media is not sure when the next will come. With days KBC lost viewers and the game lost it,s charm. There were more guests to catch viewers. All big ones no doubt. Just think in this few span of time the show welcomed Rani, Preity, Salman, Sanjay dutt, kareena and so on. But still it failed to gain the momemtum. There you need a great anchor, which can take the game to a new height. Shahrukh khan thought his popularity could do that. He was partially right, but he forgot that people may like him in a 3 and half hour family drama but josting a show is a bit different. Even 3 days a week for one hour can be costly to lose your viewership. Bachchan did it successfuly for 5 days and 4 days a week and I remember streets turned empty during that time. And this proves how versatile he is so that he can make himself saleable each day. Somebody said in the past %u201Cin bollywood only SRK and sex sells%u201D. One thing that remained hidden was the fact that SRK sells when there is Chopras or Johars, SRK sells when there is a lovestory and SRK sells when there is good music. Otherwise it is like SRKs DON. Which he only promotes even today in every event in every occation, even on KBC.

KBC is gong to come back in January 2008. SRK has his dates full because of his forthcoming movies as s result of which he could not spare time for KBC. And KBC will return with none other than SRK himself. That shows that Star thinks he has done a good job and it won't say that unless it had got good response from the pyblic.

DONT u Really think that Shahrukh's Performance in SWADES deserved National Award??? But went to Saif-ali-Khan, In the same Year, Vikram and SRK was at their Best in their Career...I Agree that SRK is nowhere Near to Kamal's Knowledge in Films and Acting, But U have Talked abt KBC show, I Said that People Enjoyed More of SRK's Appeal than AB's...

On a practical term, SRK is the biggest universal star from India till date, even bigger than the legend Amitabh himself. I wont say it is because of his acting skills. but for the reason that the visual media was not strong and influential till 80s, come 90s and every one can see and hear stars on TV, internet and other medium which made the then emerging star SRK the biggest. This is a fact and we have to accept it.

Comedy is what mahmood and johny lever did ...and what a munna bhai-circuit..( sanjay and arshd ) and Boman irani can do .They are the versatile actors who are remembered more by the charecters they play ...thats how good they are

oh so if SRK does comedy and u have laughs it is becoz of the dialogue writers and if others do the same it is becoz of their skills. c'mont ake ur biases and shove them down the drain.
