The movie Ta Ra Rum Pum was a great movie. It made me understand how sometimes our family members can make us have faith throught the fear we are facing. Also this movie was mostly like fantasy and i lovre fantasy because it makes me also want to live in it. Ta Ra Rum Pum was so far the best movie i saw this year of 2007 Rani and saif's acting was amazing. I love them.
Anyone who lives in NY, has interest in NASCAR and has some knowledge of NY cab business will find this movie utter disappointment. First of all there is no speedway in NY, not even 500 miles of ny. Then there is no such thing as NY-500.Then they tell that the hero has won 50 car races ....ha ha ha .Indians think too highly of themselves. The house and everything they showed would have definately been paid off after 5 or 6 wins. Then it is not Bihar that u can drive a cab on somebody else's license. Yellow Cab business is a billion dollar industry in NYC. There's no way a yellow cabbie will allow a passenger to drive the cab. Then towards the end Saif is shown crying that he'll do anything but will not drive a cab. What a joke . A yellow cabbie easily earns 1000 dollars a week . But in the movie they are shown as having earned only 25-30 dollars a day. Some of the nyc cabbies have bought million dollar homes in Long Island by driving cabs only. But in this movie they are shown as desparately poor ppl.The whole taxi industry is shown in bad light. Then nowhere in NY have i found no water in the tap. Never.Then they go to brooklyn from Jackson hts, queens to take a shower. WOW. And finally they have shown punjabis in bad light thru out the movie. In one scene they have shown three misguiding, drinking, begging , homeless type punjabis in the streets. HA HA HA what a joke . Only in your dreams bollywood.
How can rediff say that its a flop,i just cant digest this. it has grossed app 20 croresin the first two weeks itself.Its a very good and thought full movie.it may not be a super hit,but it will manage above average status and thats not called a flop?
If u were to believe rediff.com, Ta Ra Rum Pum & Bunti and Bubbly are the greatest Hindi movies ever, while Khakhi & RDB are a waste of time and money.
I wonder what makes u feel good in this movie. I guess it has the same feel good factor, which made BJP's titanic sink in 2004 general elections. This movies seems have sandwitched scenes of "Days of Thunder", "Cinderell Man", "Telladega Nights" (and God know what other movies) in between dozens of song sequences.
Every passing moment, makes u believe that something is going to happen in this movie. But nothing happens. What happens is a bunch of people start singing and dancing for no apparent reason.
And what happens to the reputation of Nascar after this movie. If anyone new to racing were to take this movie seriously, u would have to believe that Nascar is bloodier than boxing, with the car-drivers bent on killing each other to cross the finishing line first.
All in all, a very bad advertisement for bollywood.
Rediff reviewers are puppets to some filmmakers, or they get paid to suck up to the cheap horrible movies!! Ta ra...is time waste, horrible movie..Please grow up desi film makers..Rani please act! You look 2 dollar hooker in first half..loose the wig!
This is yet another worthless movie coming from Chopra camp .. and unbelivable that rediff is giving 3.5 stars (compared to 2.5 to spiderman) There r so many flaws in the story and i think someone should teach rani how to act. The person, not even having driving licence becomes the Racer and keep on winning. He used to work as a pit-stop tyre changer and still unaware abt the racing laws (can u believe this!!) there are many more ... so better don;t waste ur money and watch Bheja Fry or spider man.
