This is yet another worthless movie coming from Chopra camp .. and unbelivable that rediff is giving 3.5 stars (compared to 2.5 to spiderman) There r so many flaws in the story and i think someone should teach rani how to act. The person, not even having driving licence becomes the Racer and keep on winning. He used to work as a pit-stop tyre changer and still unaware abt the racing laws (can u believe this!!) there are many more ... so better don;t waste ur money and watch Bheja Fry or spider man.
"makes u feel good?" oh yeah it did make me feel good that i spent 2$ on the dvd and did not spend 10 at the theatres. the producer, director etc shud be banned from making movies. They show NY speedway- there is nothing like that and they say JFK and show newark airport.(oh i get it- yash raj films had to choose b/t paying rediff and paying the JFK authorities for the shoot) the 2 kids in the movie r the most irritating kids ever seen. common speeding saddles, mighty mike, rusty- r we watching a cartoon. I ll nominate this in the worst movies i ve ever seen. the only reason i watched the movie completely is to find out "is it actually the worst movie i ve seen"
hey dis movie is not bad as people say..its a very cute movie abt a cute family.you're really gonna lov'em.but its gud for a one time watch. da car racin thing is awesum..saif is done a gud work.neways saif n rani rock!!
This is a Clean copy of "Cinderella Man" acted by Russel Crowe... There is no point in comparison between russel and saif... Saif is utter waste... Before acting such remake movies our Bollywood actors should see the original version... atleast the producers/Directors should give the courtesy to the thinking western writers... Shame on Bollywood..... Eating somebody's shit.....
This movie is most disappointing. The promos promised so much (and the concept in itself is good), but the execution is haphazard to say the least. There is absolute lack of chemistry between Saif and Rani. The characters are all one-dimensional. They are either good (Saif, Rani, Javed Jaffrey) or bad (Victor Banerjee, Bharat Dabholkar, Rusty). Poor characterization and no justification is given for their behavior. Most events in the movie seem forced. Apart from the style and setting there is no heart and emotion...even though they try hard to do so, it falls flat. Not even the kids are able to involve you in the proceedings. The message of 'Being happy through your troubles' and 'Saving for a rainy day' is stated so often and so simplistically that it completely fails to create an impact. The climax is absolutely cliched and evokes a yawn. Ms. Verma, if such crap makes you feel good, then you must really be sick.
Sukanya Verma falls under the category of "Death of a Critic" published a week back in the Sunday Times, Mumbai Edition....NOt only she gets the pulse wrong of what is and what is not a good movie, but she also disappoints in her analysis and breakdown of a movie! Rediff reviews always coat sugarfloss around horrible movies and render bad reviews to customers...
This is a good money for all us who spends most of our salary on present and dont keep for future.................A very good message and ofcourse good acting and story.......

WOW ! i was completely mesmerized by this wonderful movie. it deserved not 3.5 but 5 stars from the learned critic ms.sukanya. such an original & refreshing script. a fresh new combination of mr.CHAIN KHULI KHAN & MS.PRANI MUKHORJI. totally new look & roles for both. something which they have not done earlier in movies like hum tum & salaam namaste.a totally new location called NEW YORK never earlier seen in indian cinema especially yashraj & karan johar movies. and the 1st ever hindi movie on car racing! the car racing scenes are awesome & bound to stun u. and the acting, wonderful ! deserve oscar. ms.prani mukherji has proven through the choice of her roles why she's being called a great actress by the intelligent people out there.such a substantial role for her. in the 1st half wear beautiful wigs & mini-skirts ( ash must have copied this look for dhoom2 but somehow dhoom 2 got released 1st. bad luck prani) & prance around new york singing "hey shona" with mr.car racer. in the 2nd half play the ultimate supportive wife. nobody could essay this challenging role like her. and what can i say about mr.khan. his langda act in bomb-kara won him lots of accolades. this role will too do the same for him. finally 3 cheers for cash-raj production house for churning out such lovely films!
An awesome movie.rani-saif made out very good couple as usual.The kids were really cute.Well,overall its a good family movie & indeed a good time pass:)
vinod mirani's verdict regarding poor opening for ta ra rum pum s totally bullshit....every sho s gng house full and it was so difficult to get the tickets for the movie......movie is worth every penny that you would have spent to watch this movie.....its amazingly shot with brilliant performances and emotions that are over whelming.....its the movie that brings smile to your face and emotions are so true that u can very well relate to them.....simply awesome movie

I agree with wording what u said hard to get tickets in metros and leading cities.. but in inner parts it is doing so so.. anyways good to go movie.. atleast one can watch movie one time.. please watch movies and young generation people of my age pleae not remark made by small kid in end of movie.. to save money not splash out.... watch moviess.... IT is continious going movies with same pass not to fast not to slow... bit poor direction in rasing part of movie anyways it is ok one can watch that...
