This movie is totally unfunny and i didn't laugh even once.Actors have tried but u can only do so much with such a stupid plot. Can't for the life of me imagine why so many are goin ga ga over it.Go and watch old episodes of MASH if u really want comedy.Only way u can laugh for this movie is if u had a can of laughing gas with u!!

Rediff reviews are becoming useless
by Sumi Anand on May 21, 2007 03:43 PM  | Hide replies

Well, there were past occassions where I just shook my head at the incompetence of the movie review team of rediff. Where rediff gave extremely positive feedback for *Eklavya*, the movie bombed at the box office and rightly so. But here it goes just too far. *Bheja Fry* is just another film in the league of revolutionary cinema and its disgusting to read Rediff review about it. The film is a laughing riot and definittely worth a watch. Although it doesnt have a dazzling starcast but there is definitely a set of mature and talented actors. I think our reviewer comes from a different planet if he doesnt know the statistics of divorces in Inda. Gone are the days where women used to tolerate injustice the whole of their lives. Tts not cinema as a blow to what women shouldnt becoz in todays world nothing like that exists. In short, *Bheja fry* is contemporary modern day cinema whith an open outlook and tells about life in modern Indian metros. And needless to say, a masterpiece in this genre of Indian cinema...

pathetic review

i saw the movie yesterday.... but had read the review long back on rediff and had skipped it movie then.. out of no choice i watched the sunday matinee and lo it was 2 hours of full dhamaal in the league of jaane bhi do yaron

why dont you hire a different reviewer.. such damning reviews prevent us from watching great films... dont know how many of good films, which i would have otherwise watched, and now missed, have been screwed up by your reviewer

This is the most funny review I have ever read. Our reviewer read the meaning of the title in a dictionary, then went to the movie and finally came out disappointed ... hahaha ... But there could be a twist in the tale as well. I think what tickles our reviewer Raja Ji's funny bone are movies like "Raja Babu". Where the masala is most consistent. With the gals doing 'Aa aa eee ..' :) ... If the movie doesn't have the latka jhatkas of the bollywood damsels then "where is the reason to head to theatres" ... hehehe ... Just watch the movie and read this review again. If a masterpiece comedy like Bheja Fry doesn't tickle all your bones then this review will. Specially the ratings. Thanks for this funny piece Raja Ji ;)

Best Hindi movie I have seen this year!!!

Raja sen lacks good sense of humor, maybe if it had been slapstick he would have given it better ratings. Please get a better movie critic with better taste in movies. I feel this movie was just fantastic, even if the story is picked up from a foreign film its very well adapted and all the actors have done a fantastic job especially Vinay!!

I've been following raja sen's review for sometime now. now, i know the trick - go for any movie which he rates less than 3!!

and the dude is penning with such authority without having even seen the french original!!

rediff readers deserve more than this, definitely!

Wah.....Raja....!!!

Man,your review just makes me relive the moments....especially the description of Bharat Bhushan......

But,yaar...be a little generous....just two stars for the rating...Bheja Fry could have got one more.....if only for Vinay.
