Dr.RAJKUMAR is the best actor in south India.. these dirty jokers like rajanikant and chiranjeevi are not even equal to .1% of the acting abilities ANNAVRU. watch BHAKTA KANAKADASA. in that great film NATASAARVABHOUMA played that character when he was just 35 yrs old..now see what type of roles this dirty keeda rajanikant is doing at the age of 60 in films like shivaji and another yuck film called baba.. AN ACTOR IS ONE WHO IS CAPABLE OF DOING ANY KIND OF ROLES RANGING FROM SPIRITUAL TO BOND FILMS.. WATCH MAYOORA,BABRUVAAHANA BUT NOT DIRTY MOVIES LIKE SHIVAJI,BABAETC ETC.. Mr. Rajkumar was popular actor and a matnee idol in Karnataka,that's all nothing more, Period. Don't talk about Acting.
They call NTR as Natasourvabouma in Andhra. Don't compare Rajkumar with Rajnikanth and degrade your Rajkumar.

In this forum, Everybody is talking about Mr. Rajkumar's Talents as an actor and what great humane he was. Some are insulting him some are praising him. I aqgree he was a very senior and great kannada actor. Therefore, It is not nice of people to talk ill about him.

The Best & Greatest Actor India has ever produced is Chevalier Padma Bhusan Dr. Sivaji Ganesan. He was the only one who was respected as the BEST by all regional(that includes NTR, ANR,Rajkumar,Prem Nazir, Madhu, Mamooty, Mohan Lal, Kamal Hassan, Gemini Ganesan, MGR, S.V. Ranga Rao, M.R. Radha etc etc ) and national( that includes Dilip Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Rajendra Kumar, Dev Anand, Amitabh etc etc ) actors. It is very difficult for an Actor to earn respects from other talented Artists.

Mr Chandra, u are right abt shivaji ganeshan, but u dont know abt Dr Raj, he has also got the same kind of recognition from other actors including SG and other thing is apart from acting he used to render his own voice and has got national award......he was not only a great actor but a great singer....now tell me how many actors can sing and act.

I agree that he was great singer and had great voice and not depended on playback singers. But, Here i am talking only about ACTING and when it comes to Acting Dr. Sivaji Ganesan is the best the whole world knows it.
There might be others who are more knowledgeble and multi talented in Cinema like Mr. Rajkumar(Acting, Singing, Directing ), Mr. NTR( Acting, Directing, Producing), Mr. Kamal Hassan ( Acting, Singing, Producing, writing, story, screenplay) but, when it comes only to acting Dr. Sivaji Ganesan is the Best.
Once Wisden Magzine asked who is the greatest crickter of all time everybody said Sir Don Bradman Wisden disagreed and said the Greatest Crickter of all time is Sir Garfield Sobers. Wisden said Sobers is the Greatest Crickter but, the Greatest Batsman is Sir Don Bradman. Like that i am not talking about multi talents. I am saying only about Acting Skills.

for your information .... SG was a student of Raj, he remade 2 movies of Raj, one was Kasturinivasa and the other was Shankar Guru...in both the films he failed miserably...shankar guru was later remade to hindi as well with Big B (Thrishulam in Tamil and Mahaan in Hindi). In a Filmfare function, shivaji gave a statement that he was only like a student when compared to Raj as only he did all 3 different roles in three different ways. now if u can think beyond ur tamil movies...u can now think who has earned more respect from other actors :-) get a life buddy

I now see why there was so much galatta during Mr. Rajkumar's death. You people are so insane and ignorant to the core. Just b'coz couple of movies were re-made in tamil by Dr. Sivaji, you say Mr. Rajkumar is a better actor? It is you who is not thinking beyond Kannada movies and Mr. Rajkumar. Praise him beyond words that is your wish but, to say he was great actor is not right. He was a good actor but, my dear not in league of Dr. Sivaji Ganesan.
You are talking about Respect, just go back and study Film History then you will know what kind of Respect Dr. Sivaji as well as Tamil movies earned not only in Indian Cinema but, World Cinema.
I was very decent in expressing my views. Mr. Rajkumar is more popular in Karnataka than Dr. Sivaji in Tamilnadu b'coz Mr. Rajkumar was a matnee idol which Dr. Sivaji is not. He was not a matnee idol he was an Actor par excellence.This i say inspite of knowing what kind of Fan Clubs he had in B'lore. You must be knowing it.
Coming back to no. of roles in a movie, I wish to tell you Dr. Sivaji played 9 roles in mid 1960's ( Movie Name : Navarathri ) itself which till then no actor did in India. Later Mr. Sanjeev Kumar did in Hindi and Mr. ANR did in Telugu.
So now i advise you, You please be fan of Mr. Rajkumar adore him & worship him, No problems i wish you all the best. But, Accept the Reality buddy.
I have watched his films and he acted like they acted in those days. However, I fail to understand how an actor acting in films can bring a whole linguistic populace together. Yes, he acted in films with human issues like drinking / alcohol. That credit should be shared by the story writer first followed by the producer and then the director and last of all, the actors. Also, alcohol abuse is not limited to karnataka and it has got nothing to do with language. In fact, strangely, his rabid supporters today have alcohol. . Apparently, the karnataka govt has not learnt from his films - there are bars in just about any alley in bangalore. . His star status may be genuine and he maight have been a better actor than a few SP party supporters who do a lot of yajnas before getting their sons married, but what I did not like about him is the fact (I was there at the time) that when he was kidnapped, he kindda enjoyed the attention. He should have appealed to the people and his fans not to destroy property or bash up tamilians because they had nothing to do with it. Kidnapping is a law and order problem and tamilians living in bangalore cannot be held responsible for it. yet, his fans bashed up tamilians in this supposedly law-abiding state and the govt did not do anything!

Certainly Dr Raj is an envy to neighbouring states, as they have no actors competent to his level. infact it is kannadigas actors like Prabudeva, Arjun Sarja, rajanikanth whom they consider their God and infact ruled by our kannadiga Chief Minister Jailalita, these people raised the prestige and image of our neignbouring state and has brought name fame to our neighbouring. else it would be pity to see the slums receiving as we enter with a aroma of smell waitinh to receive visiors. it si a fact their own people dont not want to work and saty in their mother land but want to shift their bases to our state karnata which has been a land of pride. Our Bangalore Has represented India and made Us proud as it was the only indian City to be displayed on NASDAQ. with out achievent of kannadigas even bollywood wold not shine with kannada actors like Aishwarya Rai(Ms universe) who zapped foreigners with her charm in Cranes Inernatonal film show. Shilpa Shetty who stole the Uk Big Brother show, Sharukh Khan King of Khans... Feroz Khan and his sons are ruling the bollywood. Sunil Shetty his masculine looks. Vijay Mallaya.. who owns UB, Kingfisher ans his new kingfisher Airlines... all neighbouring sstates que to travel in the class airlines.. which is a real pride to kannadigas. we are the only state and people to represent our country and fight for the pride of our country.. be it War where we haev dedicated ourselves for winnig the battle. When LTTE killed our beloved prime minister in our neighbouring state it was kannadigas who captured through the intellegence that is kannadigas culture and ethics. we haev list of achievements... but we are simple down to earth peopele.
it si critics who are always jealous of pride of karnata... coz they cant even think of the heights anad level we are at. that is te reason al want to be a part of thsi happening palce bangalore no one wah tto retrun back to their stinking neignbouring palces...
I have not watched any of Rajkumars movies and i am not a fan of him. But if some one likes him let them do what they wish. Why are people simply talking ill here about a dead person...
