Certainly Dr Raj is an envy to neighbouring states, as they have no actors competent to his level. infact it is kannadigas actors like Prabudeva, Arjun Sarja, rajanikanth whom they consider their God and infact ruled by our kannadiga Chief Minister Jailalita, these people raised the prestige and image of our neignbouring state and has brought name fame to our neighbouring. else it would be pity to see the slums receiving as we enter with a aroma of smell waiting to receive visiors.
it is a fact their own people dont not want to work and saty in their mother land but want to shift their bases to our state karnata which has been a land of pride.
Our Bangalore Has represented India and made Us proud as it was the only indian City to be displayed on NASDAQ. with out achievent of kannadigas even bollywood wold not shine with kannada actors like Aishwarya Rai(Ms universe) who zapped foreigners with her charm in Cranes Inernatonal film show. Shilpa Shetty who stole the Uk Big Brother show, Sharukh Khan King of Khans... Feroz Khan and his sons are ruling the bollywood. Sunil Shetty his masculine looks. Vijay Mallaya.. who owns UB, Kingfisher ans his new kingfisher Airlines... all neighbouring sstates que to travel in the class airlines.. which is a real pride to kannadigas.
we are the only state and people to represent our country and fight for the pride of our country.. be it War where we haev dedicated ourselves for winnig the battle.
When LTTE killed our beloved prime minister in our neighbouring state it was kannadigas who captured through the intellegence that is kannadigas culture and ethics. we have list of achievements... but we are simple down to earth peopel.

american Rajnikanth is darker and the reason he is made fun of is more because of his mannerisms and screen presence.Its the way we show our love to each other.Rajnikanth is a maharashtrian but a star in tamil.Do you not discriminate? which american president was black? and what % of blacks win oscars compared to white.You are a frustrated indian trying to be an american.So shut the crap up,if you cant see things in a lighter vein

Dr. Raj, always addressed as Annavru (elder brother), is not just respected for his acting. But for his down-to-earth decency and respect for everyone, whether he is driver or commissioner. He never drank and did the smoking both off-screen and on-screen. His success ratio as an actor is 98%, which is not seen in any actor.
I know he was an ok actor and probably a nice human being too.But he is an actor not a saint or leader.I love Karnataka and its people but we have to find more people for our inspiration than film actors.I am tamil and similar culture is there in here,with past of MGR and now Rajnikanth.AP has NTR and thankfully kerala is not so steeped in hero worship.UPites did Amitabh pooja and they are not behind in anyway.As a matter of fact,ronald reagon and arnold too are other examples.The problem is lack of leaders who can touch people,hopefully Karnataka would find a hero who is not an actor and who people can relate to.

as for as acting is concerned, surely he fits in that leauge. But as an human being, he tops the list i guess. He is such a personality. he could have easily become CM of karnataka just like his counterparts in AP or TN. But he declined all those, and lived his life like just like a saint.

No he is not in that league. He was a popular matnee idol in Karnataka. Nothing more.
hey guys, I've been in B'lore for a real long time and know the position and power of the human being. He's one of the greatest super stars kannada industry had ever produced. You cannot compare him with any other people from other parts of the country 'cos this person hardly ventured out of kannada borders. And coming to his influence over people, i can say, as long as he was alive his impact was much higher than any other, including the top level people of state. He was the person responsible for averting a major outbreak of clashes over the cauvery issue about a decade back. So please stop fighting. The is article is not for proving who is great, but a trubute to one of the greatest actors kannada industry ever produced.
The best actor that India ever produced was Kishan Kumar....If you combine the talents of Rajkumar Rajnikanth Mohanlal Cheeranjivi ..still they cant match the talent of actor Kishan Kumar of Hindi cinema..

How can you compare Mohanlal to the league of other mass theraterical actors like rajnikanth,chiranjeevi and rajkumar.He is a methodical actor and does not play to the gallery and front row audience like the other ones.He should not be mentioned in the same way as the others.Thats the biggest insult.
