Atleast our filmakers are getting adventurous. After all, there are sillier movies made in Hollywood based on myths and legends - The Mummy, Indiana Jones series, etc. Holy grail, anyone?
I am sorry to say that most of the rediff reviewers are very critical towards Bollywood movies. Its a typical Indian attitude, "if something is Indian obiviously it is below par". We are frugal in praise and lavish in critisism. I dont blame the reviewers themselves, but the basic Indian mindset of not appreciating what we have. God bless India and Indian people!
Here is a piece of free and sound advise. Avoid this movie like the plague.
First off, this nonsense is a mishmash of various 'Hollywood' movies. Plus it has the most uninspiring and insipid actors in the Hindi film industry on show. The most corniest lines and situations ever conceived make for an unappetising mess.
The reviewer is either a hardcore pessimist or one of those sarcastic idiots who want to show that they are in a differrent league. Rediff is not a movie site so don't go by these reviews. Naksha is a nice entertainer. The only -ve aspect of the film is vivek. For a more comprehensive review chk out indiafm.com

It's up to you pal. Just go ahead by your judgement. But just fyi Taran Adarsh is a renowned critic and he does that for a living. Not to attract hits on his website. He has been doing this for over 10 years now. Compare both the reviews and find out whose looks like that of a 6th grader. Anyways pal for someone who hasn't even seen the movie and compares it with Jaani Dushman..... hehehe get out of the well(rediff) look around.

Hi, I still prefer rediff reviews over Indiafm ones.. For me they are a good read.. and frankly, there is originality in the way they write.. Naksha doesn't look anything better than a Jaani dushman.. as far as the Indiafm reviews are concerned, I don't know what Taran adarsh is doing in the industry.. all his reviews sound like a 6th grader's one.. all seem so alike.. and he gives pathetic flicks a four star rating.. If I remember, he gave a Jole bole so nihaal a 3.5 star rating too, and loved Kaal & Mai prem ki diwani hoon too.

Pranay, I totally agree with you. Taran Adarsh is actually a trade analyst and he knows how to analyse the box office but little else. He definitely should not be writing film reviews because he cannot write to save his life. And he has weird taste in cinema. He gives crap like Chori Chori Chupke Chupke 4 stars but only 3 stars to Lagaan. No one takes this chappie seriously yaar. Would you take seriously someone who thinks that Jungle is better than Satya?? If I remember correctly Mr. Adarsh actually said something this stupid in his Jungle review!!
After seeing this Movie, My naksha about NAKSHA has been Changed. After all Your's Money, Your's time & your Theater, I don't need to say as much as......
I was disappointed to read your review on Naksha. The movie is refreshing in the sense that it is an adventure movie which not many filmakers attempt these days. It certainly takes guts to make this kind of a film. Instead of discouraging it, your useless critic should have at least highlighted the technical finer points of the film which the movie has in abundance. Besides, I have a strong feeling that Sunny Deol will spring a comeback with this film. Alan.
