About south indian movies
by Krishnakumar on Nov 10, 2006 04:54 PM

The Best movies are born in Malayalam,If you want to enjoy the movie or want to see the movie with your family.then go for Malayalm movies.ITs worth watching those movies.Secondly tamil.Thirdly i think Telgu..There are lot of masala's present in telgue & tamil whereas in malayalam its very pure entertainment.there will be a story inside unlike telgue or tamil...If class mates remakes in telgue it will be big flop as they doesnt know how to make good movies. The essense of story will go if it remakes in telgue,im sure..

Don reduce the issue to a regional conflict!
by J.Sai Deepak on Nov 10, 2006 07:01 AM

this topic was meant for introspection as to what ails the telugu industry and what stops it from producing quality stuff! No film industry in this country can boast that it has not succumbed to formulaic movies, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam n Tamil all fall under the same category. But telugu industry is in a deepr morass, audiences have to be blamed for this.Film makers too are to be blamed for not taking up the initiative.if two movies fetch 80 crores as someone has claimed, cant they spend 5 crores to make a movie with content and improve on technical aspects?Chiru shuda been given the Kalaprapoorna award 10 yrs bak cos thats when he made quality stuff, now he's chewin the same cud.May b after a few yrs,Telugu film awards will go to tamilians cos dubbed tamil movies gross higher and are hugely popular.Gajini is jus one example.telugu industry has to reinvent itself, stop bankin on star power.NTR junior is a balloooned buffoon who is worsjipped across the state.Nagarjuna is the only sane soul!

Tamil Industry is is the Second Best
by venkatesh on Nov 09, 2006 11:05 PM

Tamil film Industry is The second big industry after bollywood,Don't forget Chandramukhi broke all the the records and it collected more than 100 crores by running successfully all over the world, and now Rajinikanth is the most Highest paid actor in the history of Indian Cinema, not to forget about Anniyan which released last year made huge collections in all the south Indian states and made waves in the Overseas.Recently many tamil movies like chandramukhi, ghajini and anniyan dubbed in telugu become Big blockbusters,Moreover there is no history that not even single Telugu movie dubbed directly into tamil ran successfully,so ultimately tamil movies are the best and it overtakes telugu movies in each and every department.

Film news Coverage
by bvsumahesh on Nov 07, 2006 07:15 PM

Telugu films are known for there Quality in all aspects than any other film Industry in SouthIndia.
It is known fact The tamil film Industry has grew up with equal contribution from the telugu people also and all film personalities are there in chennai till 90's and and made films in both the languages.

Here topic is why the Telugu films are not given much footage when film news are considered. For example I can say latest That Chiru awarded doctorate by the Andhra University and there is no news about this .

Hi,
I think all languages are the same ,so why fight and the persons who think that all the author's are from chennai thats wrong and actors like rajini(highest paid actor) ,kamal( 3 times national award winner ,12 times film fare award winner) are no less than chiru, nag etc...

What made you think that thalaimagan was much hyped movie? I do not know it was coming to theatres and the result is below average for movie content and flop for movie's business. No Diwali releases seem to be a hit. Varallaru is a semi-hit because of fans and Ravi's formula of two story telling and E doing average business.
