I thinks its really stupid of RGV of making or rather let me say re-making of Sholey.... Sholey is a Milestone and a Masterpiece... so it should be kept untouched in a silver foil..
However, I think that, at least, Amitabh should have had stayed away from this insanity. Afterall, he was an important part of the original Sholay. How could he see his blockbuster classic to be reduced to nonsense?

disha... making a very old film's remake to suit present day audience, really needs creativity and ideas.i think u do agree with me.bye.
Ramgopal Verma is the most over-rated filmmaker around. After his initial burst, he has fallen to unfathomable plummets and his latest offering -'Shiva' was an embarrassment of sorts.
The man is now trying to steal some healines by attempting to re-make one of our perennial classics. I feel RGV just does not possess the finesse, the skill or the vision to recreate the vista, the grandeur of an epic that in many ways, depicts the finest all-round effort at film-making.
I would advise Ramu to remain cloistered in the dusty alcoves of his factory, lest it tarnishes an impeccable work enshrined in the hallways of immortality.
The Sippy's have done the best possible thing to bring about an injunction against an infidel's perverse machinations.

I think sippy should permit rgv to remake the film.Once the film is released,it will become public property but not sippy's grand father's.sippy should permit rgv to make his remake for which people are waiting for.
due to sippy's gransons ...this version is seems comic....like ramgarh ke sholay ....we are vey narrow minded ....let him (ramu) try his luck...in hollywood too many super hit movies re made..... what fuss about it....sippy's need to rethink about their decision ..any way sholay too was not a original ..it's mix stories of hollywood film ..in indian style .....
common sippy's grown up ....let the viewer decide ....which one is better one .....
The excitement about the remake of sholay is fading fast in my mind as RGV goes about (or forced to go about) changing the names, background and who knows the storyline even. Remaking the original version in a modern backdrop was innovative and exciting, however, now it looks as if its going to be a poor take off with rural characters being completely given urban looks. Also, the names, I do not think Jabbar singh is a good one. Can't say what can replace the name Gabbar Singh, anyway. Wonder, what they would call Thakur then...However, given these situations, RGV has to really pen down a good script to avoid complete letdown. Sippy's shouldn't have interfered so much. Look what the new Don has achieved. Nothing will be taken away from the classic if it remade with a modern outlook.
