If Raja Sen keeps writing reviews like this, no one will be able to save him from being sacked by rediff. Fanaa is not a classi, but it doesnt either falls in 'Darna Zaroorii....' category. Its time critics pack their bags and trust public reviews!
A lot is being said about Fanaa. First things first, the movie is hugely disappointing. A lacklustre first half and a half baked second half. The screenplay is shoddy work. Beats me how Adi Chopra had green lit this. Also beats me how Aaamir agreed to do this film. The character of Reyhaan doesn't even work on paper. How can it translate to celluloid. Aair is a proficient actor, but even he seems confused as to his character. No fault of his. The film is badly written. It pains me to see such great collections. The film will definitely drop in the latter half of the first week. It is riding on he hype created by the controversy. All in all, an extremely disappointing movie. I guess Yashraj tried to move away from their comfort zone of pure entertainers such as Dhoom, HT, SN, Bunty but came up extremely short. For me this is a huge red spot for them. They tried to do something meaningful and failed. In d last 6 to 7 years, YRF has seen most success but films like RDB, Lagaan, Munnabhai, KMG, Black, Parineeta etc. are the favourites of the audiences. They make successful movies, but they are far from good movies. Not done Adi Chopra. He has the power but the content is sorely lackin
Wise people said that one should not enter into a field (land) which is not owned by person himself. I have similar suggestion for the person who reviewd FANAH (The Fantastic).
Some people love to hate something and some every thing and review master falls in the last category only. He must join mass media course and understand film making and the poetry of it, before he reviews another moview.
My suggesttions for Rediff Editor is please dont put such absurd things on net.
I am seeing a hindi film after 4 years and what a disappointment it was.I will not see hindi films here after.Fourth rated English films are anyday better than these hyped hindi films.I was a big fool like many others to have seen this movie.
havnt checked the movie yet so cant quite comment on the review till yet. but normally like Raja's reviews. but the guy definitely has a SRK fixation (very unlikely given his knowledge of the art). this maan liked SRK in Paheli. i mean SRK these days resembles his duplicate performance wise :). i was a fan of his when i saw kabhi haan kabhi naa, then came his star (read 'I AM THE BEST') phase. here the only expression he wears is: 'I AM SHAHRUKH KHAN'. be it a cancer patient or a ghost, u cant really make out the character. hes grown as a star but has rapidly gone down as an actor since. hoepfully he will prove me wrong as i really liked him when he came up. but perhaps hes more a businessman than an actor n doesnt hav the hunger or passion for the art. he has only for money (no harm) as long as the art is maintained. enuf abt SRK, i dont think he deserves it anymore. Raja, however i will be honest i have really liked some of ur reviews and found them to be better than our so called 'established' critics if you dont want me to name any. will comment more if and when i catch Fanaa!

Watch out fanaa for aamir kahna and kajol and their good performances. Rediff reviews are to thrown to the dustbin. check out the times of india review it is appropiate one. The movie is little slow and require some editing but atleast 3.9 out of 5. hello rediff please have someone with good sense of acting and knowledge of cinematography.. go and watch the movie if you dont beleive me.
