HATTI JAYE BAZAAR TO KUTTE BHOKE HAZZAR.
by SACHIN T DUDAM on Jun 09, 2006 06:06 PM

Media will say whatever they like, but my view is that M.W is a hit film I have ever seen. I don't understand the sycology of this people that why they don't like this type of films.I know that this film is copied from Malgudi Days. But then also what's the matter in it. Black is also a copy, then why the people have given so much of importance to it.
Actually when this film was released, I decided to watch it in theatre by doing some savings. But as I heard from the media that it is very slow film, I then changed my mind. But when I saw the film on our T.V I considered me as unfortunate.
I am the biggest fan of PRIYADARSHAN.Because he is always trying to give us nice comedy films. Priyadarshan Sir, "lage Raho" in u r great deed.
As u have mentioned in u r film Malamal Weekly that
" HATTI JAYE BAZAAR TO KUTTE BHOKE HAZZAR."

Ron
Maalamal a copy
by Ron on Apr 26, 2006 12:03 AM

I think everyones missing the point. The interviewer asked if his movie was a malayalam remake. He also acknowledged that it was inspired on Malgudi days. The answers given to the questions asked doesnt prove that he is at fault.

The theme and story line is stolen. Hope he knows that people watch movies made all over the world. He has done copying from his first film and has done a great job copying. He has adapted good comedies and other movies from worl cinema to Indian cinema. There is nothin to be ashamed of. Malamal weekly is based on the beautiful IRISH comedy "Waking Ned Devine". Look it up on IMDB.

Maalamal Weekly

it is a disgrace that people who plegerize do not even accept that the work is not original.
Maalamal weekly - the promos itself reek of "Waking Ned Devine". The story narrated here confirms that. Still the claim that is is an original work - if you say so!
