Any comments from Ms Shabana Azmi and Nafeesa Ali on this.

They are always worried about conditions of muslims in India....

Visa denied
by Robin on Jun 26, 2006 05:46 PM

To start with,I would say it's really a shame denying visa to such a talented man like Javedji. A man with so much talent was singled out on what basis I have no idea but it's embaraasing. Some years back I think they even denied it to the great Lata Mangeshkar too, maybe the Pakistan is not destined to be visited by some great Indian artists. Oh my they are such a losers.

Ghar ka na ghat ka ??
by Indian on Jun 25, 2006 10:35 AM  | Hide replies

Question is, which one is Ghar and which is the Ghat?
At times, spouses fight, others overlook, as one knows they will be together again. Here nobody is husband or wife (between Javed and Pakistan), but the stong bond exists and he will be granted visa in due course after the 'family' drama is over.
This is a slap for all those others also who do shows in India to get money out of the pockets of Indians and do the charity in Pakistan. As if India is out of poors! (Shabana allegedly collected 1 crore rupees by doing shows of 'Tumhari Amruta', to do charity in Pak.) No problem with humanitarian help but amongst the poors all over the world (including, India, African and other countries), Pakistani poors seem to have made a special place in here heart!!
Also this is a lesson for all those other celebrities, who have split loyalties.
Shabana, per newspaper reports, mentioned that this is a slap for pro-hindu parties like BJP. I am no fan of pro-Hindu parties, but conviniently dragging totally unrelated parties in this matter is either a sign of intellecutal bankruptcy or display of her own guilt.

Indian Muslims Beware!
by rahul on Jun 25, 2006 08:33 AM

Message for those Indian Muslims who dance when India lose or Pakistan win in cricket: come to your senses, you won't even get a Pakistani visa some day, let alone respect.
