Musharraf's pakistan is all about a forked tongue.They indulge in double speak which comes to them naturally.moderation,reason,ethics,courtesy,brotherhood is something foreign to them.Maybe they are not comfortable with Mr.Javed Akhtar,who talks straight and is a moderate,which again is very new to them.That seems to be the reason why all the rabble rousers are welcomed with open arms into Pakistan.A great country indeed!
I appreciate the decision of the Cine artists team in calling off the visit. Paksitani government's move of calcelling of Javedji's visa smacks of ignorance and an imporvished nature. India does not sell that way. India does not need promotional material to be counted and known. In fact we in India belive in "ATTRACTION BETTER THAN PROMOTION". India stand for values and causes. WE CARE, WE BEAR, WE SHARE. For the ultimate authorities in pakistan let them take it or leave it.
Well, I don't know the reasons as to why Javed wanted to visit Pakistan. I personally feel that as thinking celebrities there is a lot be done in India itself to lessen the hatred between the two countries.We Indians are also quite communal minded the minute we are scratched.Our tele serials never show a Hindu Muslim love affair or a marriage between the two communities.When the movie Bombay was released there was tremendous amount of hue & cry.I don't know whether the film did well on the box office or not, though there was all the other filmy masala in it.There are so many arenas where we need to create awareness.I think the Indian film makers are going overboard by getting artists from across the border.Perhaps its just a publicity stunt. In the industry itself we should stop seeing certain films if any one associated with it has underworld connections.I personally won't even buy a product endorsed by such a person.I just change channel if I see Sanjay Dutt on the screen. Why is he even around,is something I fail to understand!Or for that matter even Salman Khan! Rizwana Kashyap

Poor chap, he was too frank in condemning Pakistan some years ago when he openly said "We don not want a second batwara in our country, one was enough in 1947, so stay out of India in abetting terrorism"
Our governmant should cancell the entire troop that's is supposed to visit Pakistan.
