I was really surprised to read most of the reviews with the movies praise. I really don't agree with it. It didn't impress me with anything. Here are my few observation both + and - : a. It takes more than abuses and clumsiness to picturize a village atmosphere. Unfortunately this movie was on a bit of same track than than of the "Mangal Pandey" b. In every interview vishal was seen saying it to belong to some UP village, but the language used looks more of haryanavi (except the marriage songs in the background) c. Really fouls words and language used in songs. I was surprised to see as sensor board passed it. The female actors are being used only as a show-off comodity. d. Nobody except konkana sen and saif ali khan impress with the acting in the movie, ajay devgan is getting same kind of role. e. The most impressive scene of the movie was when konkana sen talks to ajay devgan to dump all his doubts regarding kareena. f. A message can be conveyed in many ways, good or bad. This movie could have been made much more interesting. It lacks in homework. It became nothing more than a twisted love story. Naseer has been wasted totally except his getup.
Vishal bharadwaj makes a right move of making such film 'OHMARA' based on othello. Saif deserve award fot his teriffic role in the film.Ajay & Vivek prove best again after Company. Overall a good film from director.
I want to thank Vishal sir to bring back the UP folk taste in music. He is surely an outstanding music director. My favorite song from the album is "Beedi".
