Hi Mr.Mahesh,
Im very happy to see that you stand for the truth
what ever you write about the Debojit,Ismail Sir
and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is correct.I have not understand
why they[Sa Re Ga Ma Pa]have given the judgement in people hand? They are giving vote to there beloved
and because of that the talented singers who are giving there best goes in vain.So my heart too goes out to Debojit.

Agree with everything u said except Vinit's voice
by Ajay on Feb 03, 2006 12:26 AM

I agree with you on all things except for denouncing Vinit\'s talent. I think he\'s the best of the lot, but as you said, the controversy created was needless and not only Debojit, but all true Indians have every right to feel sad about such hypocrisy.

My heart goes out to Debojit

I believe the author of this article has articulated his views brilliantly. I fully agree with him. My heart too goes out to Debojit. I believe he should have been declared a winner after the arrogance showed by the gang comprising of Vineet, Himani and Hemachandra. These three coupled with Himesh and Adesh have made me yearn and pray for Debojit. I must mention here that I wasn't a Debojit fan until I felt he was being unfairly cornered. I must also add that I felt Ismail Durbar was not only fair but magnanamous towards singers of other gharanas until he walked out for not being able to withstand Adesh and Himesh's prejudice, lack of fairness, craftiness, jingoism, etc.

Sa Re Ga Ma
by Dr. G.S.Shankar on Feb 03, 2006 12:04 AM

I disagree with the columnist. They disclosed the scores of other singers too about the vote from their home turf, for sure I heard the score of Vinit from UP and Hemachandra from A.P. Question is when Debojit once eliminated, they brought him back after the insistance of Ismail. This tells me there is a favouritism game is on. Second, Himesh always seems to be Hemachandra and obviously a man of antisouth. I tell my reasons, one, once he commented Hemachandra sings songs of only south Indian Hindi singers, second his mannerism and posture when Hemachandra is on state, third he always gave Hemachandra less score than all other judges. He should be removed from the judges for National Integretation sake

Finally...
by Sharmaji on Feb 02, 2006 11:56 PM

At last there is an article on rediff on the great injustice that Gajendra Singh is causing on a great show like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa which has been reduced to a political potboiler rather than a hunt for musical talent. We all have to speak out against this!

Stop Public voting
by Rajeeb on Feb 02, 2006 11:41 PM

Challenge 2006

Ideally for the Zee Challenge 2007 the Organisers Gajendra Singh of Saregamapa should get 10 judges from all Zones and have a finals.

Opt 1 : Get 10-12 Judges (3 from each zone) from all zones and have secret voting and scores.

Option 2 : Get 4 Judges to vote and have 50 % from audience polls. 50:50 can be the pattern as obviously the channel wants public to be involved so as to make the program popular.

However this recent one year trend of public voting is crap and unjustified as its known me being an East Indian staying all through in South India that East Indians spend more time watching television. People in South prefer watching regional channels where as in other parts of country regional channels are not as popular.

East is always a emotional lot as we also saw in case of Saurav Ganguly or for that matter any local lad will be made to reach his pinnacle. So obviously all East Indian contestants will always have an edge no matter how they perform. Also a road side singer like Ravindra (remember the painter) in last yearsIndian Idol also reached the last 5 or 6 stage just on emotional voting which is wrong.

Rather there should be a

Regional prejudices

People from other parts of India, mind you not all,but a big percentage nevertheless have preposterous views of the Northeast, jungli and all I wonder what kind of people make fun of an integral part of their own country.Mijoram is a small state which has literacy rate comaparable to Kerala. If we dont respect ourselves , no use expecting the world to respect us.

I agree with your views.. debojit and hemachandra are definitely far better singers and vinit has been hyped unnecessarily.. even when he croaks... it will be terrible if he wins! All the best to debojit and hemachandra!
