Though I havent had the opportunity to watch the movie so far, with what viewers have commented, I feel that movies of the same genre are being produced more and more. Here I'm referring to the movie 'Crash' which has a similar story line and hit the screen big time. Maybe its all the Bollywood/kollywood syndrome everywhere :)
Also key to the plot is a Japanese tourist who first \'sells the rifle\'- he does not sell it, he gifts it to his guide on his hunting expedition. The Jap\'s no tourist- he\'s a hunter traveller. , \'and his daughter\'- when does he sell his daughter? your sentence makes it seem like he sells his daughter along with his rifle. a \'sex-starved deaf-mute\'- i would say she\'s more of a mentally traumatised; love, affection and attention deprived teenager (mom\'s brutal suicide) who seeks sex and drugs as an escape
This movie depicts how human lives change by making small mistakes. Who would have thought a married couple would have to face a bad situation when one of them is shot by a playful boy who is handed over a gun by his father who got it from a Japanese tourist whose deaf-mute daughter is fighting her trauma of her mother's suicide and the couple's children are stuck on US-Mexico border with their caretaker. Woooh..A long storyline. Well made movie. Recommeded for mature audience only.
I just wonder when will bollywood make some really intelligent movies which requires good acting, direction and story and not just the same old butt shaking shit... Bollywood my arse......
