This was bound to happen. Movies like DON or Sholay should not be touched for remake. How can you remake classics ??? Same thing applies for Don's music - the original scores should have been left untouched .... Can you remake KapilDev's 175 against Zimbabwe ?? Can you remake Kumble's 10 wicket against Pakistan ??
Similarly Classic movies should be left alone. It seems that our Bollywood (heh !!) directors are seriously lacking original ideas....

Go listen to the music and then comment. As one other comment said, lots of people have this notion of "anything old is classic - anything new is crap - anything remade is garbage". Repeating again that this is one helluva an album. Like another comment said - if rediff existed back in the ol' days, they would have ripped the album/movie into pieces!
You read any review, preview you just have bad things to tell us. You will never appreciate anyone for anything.
Don's music is so different from the rest of the lot that we here today but here you are again with no appreciation. There is just one mind set - anything that was old was good (which I am sure you would have criticized then) anything that is currently being done is bad. Even if someone killed oneself for you, you will say "this person did not kill himself well I give him a 2 star for this act". Ridiculous.
The review posted on rediff about Don's music was completely off the track. Please get your music right!!! The album is one great combination of style and melody. Check out Main Hoon Don, Morya Re and Aaj Ki Raat and you'll know what I'm talking about. Surely deserves 4 stars minimum!!!
