read thru your almost 3:30 hrs review of the equally long film. One question that pops....why are we to sympathise with lead characters....is there some law to this effect...let me know...I always felt cinema was an uncovering of human emotions...positive/neg....whatever it's a human story to be told make your own judgements like them or dislike them....
but why stress that "you could not sympathise..."....dude you miss the point with you narrow approach. it's a different POV that usually the films where you feel for the lead are the films which have worked at the BO. If you did not get what I am saying watch Sudhir Mishra's Haazaron Kwhahishen Aaise.....

SRK played beyond his image & done a tremendous job specially th scene you mention in ur article ! priety was OK Rani expressions was v natural , ACTually you wont understand all this coz you never been in LOVE & wont get any ONE in future also... dear...i think u jst lookin at this frm a "lovers" point of view, a mvy has got to al kinds of ppl, n bein in lov dsnt guarantee u knw ALL abt lov. n wen it comes to srk's actin, its obvious dat he has let his "Badshah of Bollywood" title go to its head nt only in dis mvy bt many others which has nthin to do wid his role. he is afteral known for his inflatory ego, n ranis role was very borin too. truly there was no practical reason y she thinks dat abhishek (in d mvy) is a child, ful sympathies frm me go to preity n abhsk... n d best scene was wen preity slapped SRK... neva been happier... jst coz he was limpin dsnt mean he cnt find another job but jst grump over his wifes success...

Are you telling that for you it is OK to have an extra marital affair after you are married(commited) to someone????So after some years down the line what is the guarantee that Dev will not fall in love with someother lady and leave Maya???? perfect ,perfect ,perfect... i wanted to write the same thing... my god, our thinkings are so damn same... i love priety and abhi and particualrly as mentioned in those scene ...the way abhi tells , mard hun isiliye bardaast kar raha hun, if i was kid kabka tut chuka hota.. nice one...and from priety side..i love when she says main is ghar main mard hun and thats the truth..plus the very last dialog to rani that , itni saja bohat kaam hai, dev ke saath to zara rehkar to dekho phir pata chaalega sazza kya hai..just amazing!!!!
