well i strongly believe that karan is an insecure fool...he does not have the guts to make such a movie with non- stars cos he knows that the movie will flop and empty his pocket. he has signed the biggest stars and its only due to them that the movie is raking inthe money not cos he is a brilliant director. he hides behind lehangas and chunni's of rani and preity to make a movie hit and will add one love making scene to make it look like an hollywood movie!!! gasp!! i am dying for breath. such a lousy movie. stop supporting urself on big actors come out and make a better movie with down to earth stars...
KANK is awsome. A fabulous movie with a great story. We saw a different, matured shahrukh khan this time and he has once again proved that he the ALL TIME BEST. I wish him success for many more years to come. And for Karan Johar wish you success and hope we will see kajol and shahrukh in your next endeavour. wish you success.
After Karan's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which i didn't like much except for the fact kajol is in and kabhi khushie which i loved till today.it stil brings me to tears if d movie is shown on tv.i must say i dno if karan paid the critics or they are buttering up to him.the fact is kank is a boring film, it didnt elicit any emotion for me though the comedic scenes were funny-(the part when srk and preity wearing a mask and rani with a whip)every part of the film was predictable from the start when srk got into the accident from the dialogues to the ending.it reminded me of closer as well wicker park, if any of u havnt seen tis 2 movies go see it.its less dramatic and the emotions are simple and effective.in fact wicker park brought me to tears.i thk srk is as irritatin as ever, rani was nothing, nor preity did somthing "different"as to what karan keeps saying.abhishek did bring a fresh input to the film.all in all i thk dis big movies are a big letdown.films lk fanaa and kank show that u dont need a good story, big setups and stars will do.now im not looking forward to don2 i know for sure it's goin to suxx from the looks of it.
Really bad story , amitabh looks younger than sharukh and really not much to talk about , better to forget as fast as possible. No question of recommending anyone to watch. Karan johar should learn something from movies like Rang de Basanti
didnt like k2h2,k3g and hence no point watching kank.. cant expect this one to be better.. plus we have stereotype srk and big b is getting on my nerves
What he has taken 3.5 hours as reviews suggest, could have been shown equally well in 2 hours. So why waste time and money?
i was never a fan of karan johar, shah rukh movies.. big budget, big stars, foreign locales, songs thrown in with some pathetic shah rukh histrionics... voila!! u have a movie that apparently the public adores..
karan.. i have a question for you.. u say critics have praised ur movie.. u must be kidding!! i for one would like to know who those critics are...
yes , i mean it. seeing movie, i felt that preity and abhisek were trying to maintain the healty marriage despite of issues present, Rani still some what unsure about adjusting her marraige (which is pretty common in forced arrange marriages). Where as, Shahrukh ,simply feels jealous of his successful wife and wants to run away from situation. The egoist nature of downtrodden husband is what makes him convinced himself that he is good and rest of family is bad. Even though he tries to act as counsellor to Rani's marriage, he eventually talks her out of her marriage and forces himself on her. Had Rani too been a successful woman in career, he may have also feeled unsecure and stayed away from her. i personally thinks movie doesn't shows why people look love outside the marraige but shows how the people like to be in love where u can be in control.
Biggest point of Shahrukh's ego is indicated at the begining when he taunts the preity for missing his main match but simply forgets to remember the marraige aniversary.
i am not sure what did Karan expected to show from movie but i do recommend best villain award for this year goes to shahrukh
