The term Casting Couch says it all
by Karen on Sep 12, 2006 02:14 AM

These allegations that BB has made may or may not be true.

IF NOT TRUE --> then Indian organizations in the US need to reconsider the use of Bollywood celebrities to attract people to these parades - I mean really, what do Bollywood celebs have to do with Indian independence - surely they don't represent the values held by our founding fathers. They would turn over in their ashes if they knew how corrupt India was politically (including ALL gov't authorities and politians) and culturally (Bollywood would be the perfect example here, plus did you see any Indians reject any western influences???)...

IF TRUE -->Of course the offenders should be punished - BUT isn't there a double standard here - I'm not saying that it is right, but there are all kinds of harassment towards Indian women in Bollywood, I don't see those B***ards being prosecuted???? Known as the "casting couch" - almost every girl that wants to get into Bollywood needs to have an affair in order to get a role - unless of course you are the likes of Karishma Kapoor whose family essentially owns the film industry. I love how Bollywood expects people here to be responsible for their actions, but not in India???

Bipasha Basu

I think it is unjust to criticize Bips for speaking the truth. Women today are still sexually harrassed and the fact that she spoke up at a public event right after the incident occurred shows her brevity to stick up for what she believes in. I applaud her and hope that she wins this battle against the neandrathals who assaulted her.

Bipasha incident
by Hina J on Aug 24, 2006 01:18 AM

For those calling this a publicity stunt, or a joke on bipasha's behalf I suggest you check yourself right now. Why in the world would an actress who came all the way from india to represent her country do such a thing? I think the incident should be fully investigated and justice brought to the courts. There are so many sexual predators in the world today, and if someone has the guts to stand up and speak the truth, we shouldn't be shunning her out or ignoring her. We should support her.

Instead of Bipasha they should have called Sherawat
by Mehul on Aug 22, 2006 08:33 AM

Mallika Sherawat is perfect choice if they wanted a bollywood babe for independence day. She is so independent with her clothes, speech etc that you won't find better person than her.

Just one thing is that Bipasha you should really be concerned of what you are right now and you shouldnt be travelling with anybody in somebodys Car.
When you come to places like this (USA) and that to a place of ABCD (American Born Confused Desi), you should have your personal Body Guard. ABCD are those forgotten Indians who will never be allowed to enter India as an Indian citizens.
