Bipasha, WE are with YOU.

I am also a fan of Bipasha. I respect her and her profession. But there are people with cheap mentality that cannot differentiate between the role played on the screen and the person in the real life.

I was among the audience listening to Bipashaâs speech. Believe me friends, it was very painful witnessing Indiaâs insult on the foreign land.

People in India always look at the NRI community with a respect. But here is a lesson for everybody: Not all NRIs are decent and educated!

Jai Hind.

Bipasha complains of harassment

I sincerely hope that the real truth comes out.

I hope that Bipasha has told the truth. I also hope that there is no cover up. If she was abused , Bipasha should have filed a police complaint unless she was under pressure not to. Bipasha has been before to the US I believe , NJ for another function in the recent past and she had no problems. Therefore I would like to believe her. The parade is a big event and for something like this to happens is shameful. So I pray to God for justice to prevail.

Shameful !!!
by qwerty on Aug 14, 2006 10:41 PM

This is a ridiculous and an unimaginably shameful act! The wrong doers must be brought to justice. This looks like an act of the uneducated, tobacco-chewing, desperate Patels staying illegally in the US.

These characters bring a bad name to the whole community which also has educated Indian professionals such doctors, lawyer, IT professionals and others.

They must be made to fall on Bipasha's feet and nade to ask for forgiveness. This is not how we are supposed to treat respectable citizens of our country.

Bipasha has had some bold on-screen performances, but this should by no means be a basis of her treatment. She deserves the full respect any Indian citizen deserves.

This act to have occurred during/before the Indian Independence day parade in itself indicates the real interests of the organisers of the parade.

And the parade, total farce, shame to call it India's I-Day parade. Patel I-Day parade sounds better!

Gujarati Speeches
Gujarati performances
Picture of a Gujarati Leader (Only Sardar Patel got the honor of featuring in the parade)

This act should be taken seriously by the entire Indian community and the people involved must be punished.

Independence Day in New Jersey

What a shame? We have a perception that Indian Americans are much polished, much dignified than people back home. All these is just a perception and yesterday's incident with Bipasha and the following function provved all wrong. How can even one imagine doing such a thing to such a famous personality? And if this can happen to a celebrity like Bipasha then what about wives, sisiters and mothers of common people like us?

We always try to adapt American culture/ American ascent, but how can we forget these basic descipline that is followed so religiously by all Americans here. Do we see one incident in any public places where Americans are involved. How can even we think of doing such things being so educated?

Guys, lets wake up, Please respect women. Dont forget that your mother is a women, your sister is a women and your wife is also one.

And coming to the organizers of the function, they did not even have a courtesy of giving a public apology to Bipasha, who was proRegarding celebrations, I would just say that it was just a means to make some money. The parade was full of advertisements/marketing with very less focus on the core issue- Indian Independence.

View on the harassment
by sahil khan on Aug 14, 2006 10:03 PM

First of all i would like to say that if the harassment have occured then bipasha should have lodge a complaint againts the organisers with the police, Not doing that she come into the loop of faul play well i was not there so actually can say about the perfect harassment but think being an indian she should have given a better answer to what she proclaimed to be harassment, if i would have been there i have done something gud so that they know that for we indians its not the money which matters its the self esteem, integrity and my self repect. In either case who is been involved for the real harassment or faul play but the thing is that she got the media attention what all stars die to do, well lets see what the result come out of this scandal or so called proclaimed harassment.

This is my view if you have anyproblem just log me back with your suitable answer so that i can change the thinking if not convincing leave it

Yours Lovingly

Sahil......

Harassment to Bipasha
by Unni, Delhi on Aug 14, 2006 09:55 PM

The alleged harrassment to Bipasha as well as some of the comments posted in rediff (expressing shock over how Bipasha can carry the India flag!!!!!)demonstrates the hypocrisy of a majority of Indian men. Learn to respect women instead of getting judgmental!
