hi deepak,
What's wrong if bollywood makes a remake ha ??
If people like us who don't understand kannad for us it is good that they make a remake so we get to see a good movie in a language we understand and same like the people who don't understand english they are not gonna go an watch a hollywood movie so for them also it is good to see a good remake in the hindi version that they understand so i think this discussion is unecessary as you guys will discuss all this stuff but that's not gonna effect the industry they will make what they want to and it will remain the same...so don't waste your time in the discussing all this..

and i feel all languages and cultures are gr8 in their own way so nobody should disrespect other's culture..

i hope you guys wont mind me saying all this.
I just wanted to see the reviews of this film but i think people have sidetracked the topic go lets get back to the topic so people like us who want to see this movie but b4 that want to look at the reviews so help them out......

No twist but just a happening
by Ulhas Shirke on Sep 06, 2005 08:12 PM

Pyar Mein Twist is not a twist but a happening in the lives of a man who takes voluntary retirement from his business and hands over the responsibility to his son and a woman who is a widow managing the business of her departed husband and at the same time taking good care of her grown up children. Both of them are shown in or around 50 years of age, when they meet each other and the friendship grows. But, this new relationship comes in the way of their respective family members. However the friendly spinster sister in law , who always stands by her, comes to her rescue and defends her. There is a good confrontation between the woman and the would be in-laws of her daughter. At the same time the scne at the mans house also changes. Challenging the opposition the couple in controversy go for a change and that is the only twist the film has in its screenplay.

As far as the characters are concerned, Rishi kapoor is at his best. His inflating figure does not seem to be bothering him and hence he has come out easily in performing his Happy Go Lucky character of a business tycoon who retires from his work for peace and falls in love once again. Dimple kapadia is at her best but she seems to be conscious of her appearance. She looks good but then in close ups her ageing process is clearly noticed. But, she has dressed herself well in different fashion outfits. And, that suits her. In contrast, Farida Jalal looks fresh and charming even at this age. In fact, it is her performance that supports Dimple in many scenes to be at ease. Soha Ali Khan does not look glamorous at all like her mother. Infact, she should be more selective of her roles. In this film she just plays Dimples daughter who is to be married to Samir Dattani, who plays a sensible character, understanding the situation better. Vikas Bhalla plays Rishis son, who does not seem to be interested in his fathers ideology. Tthere are other characters around like Satish Shah , Kishori Shahne Vij , Dolly Minhas and Delnaz Paul, who support well.

Nana
Probably worst movie of Dimple
by Nana on Sep 05, 2005 09:08 PM

I am a great fan of Dimple and I think I never had any problem with Rishi Kapoor ever eventhough he is not really a polished actor. Anyway Pyar Me Twist is simply filthy movie considering the direction, horrible acting by Dimple ( can anyone imagine that ?) and pretty below average performance by youngsters acting in TV serials. I can only say that I paid Rs 150 for one song and too remix of 'khullam Khulla Pyar Karenge Hum Dono'...Soha Ali Khan please stop acting in in future as you simply don't belong to this world. You are cute and lovely and acting is not your domain. As for Dimple, well I think it's one off wrong choices. How come I never studied this director by the name Hriday Shetty..Boss your business should be hotelling not movies...Guys do not waste money and time on this movie....
