RE:Pyaar Mein Twist: Remade stuff

Sunny,
Before writing anything on the net, first try to respect any language, these kind of comments will spark a row between people. It as good as respecting someone's mother. If you have such culture in your bloos, better never ever repeat this mistake.
What you know about kannada and kannada movies, you irking people might know stuff which you feel great, but first try to understand the culture then talk about anything.
Hope you won't repeat such nasty acts again.........

boss, they are not worst, bollywood movies are worst. 75% of Bollywood movies are remakes of Hollywood versions. Rest 25% is remakes of South Indian movies. Request you to come out of the prejudices first, then judge. Kannada Film is top this year as per as hits are concerned.

Dear Avinash,
Your stats are too poor. Not all the bollywood movies are remakes. There are umpteen movies that are original. Dont try to justify your view with wrong data.
oops..kannada movies are worst in industry ( even kannada people hesitate to watch them)..especially the heroes...so pls dont compare with bollywood movies...

90% of your movies are copied from Holywood or south indian movies, otherwise you people bank on sex, or NRI themes. In simple words, Bollywood is just crap.

by bobby on Sep 06, 2005 10:26 PM
hey DEEPAK, u say that bollywood is crap, but u seem to have all the time in the world to write a thesis on which bolly movie has been copied from which south indian movie and which movie has been inspired by sex and NRIs.
if u have a problem, then just dont watch bollywood movies. don't bore everyone here with ur movie comparisons.

South Indian movies, especially Kannada movies are bullshit. Bollywood never copies them. Nowadays innovative movies are made in Bollywood, not in South India.
Pathetic bollywood producers and directors, they can never give a twist to anything without copying from others, this is brutal copy of kannada hit Preethi Prema Pranaya, and the producer is now being sued for that.
I am yet to see the movie. Today evening I am going to watch the movie. I am excited like hell to see the evergreen gorgeous and glamorous Dimple on screen and that also with her Bobby and Saagar costar Rishi Kapoor.
I fail to understand what kind of editorial standards does rediff follow.
How can one reviwer be so acerbic and over the top in criticising almost each and every film he reviews and the other equally over the top and gushing accolades.
Iam sure you dont think your readers dont see through this. Is it that there are some film companies that wine/dine and pay you for good reviews and some others dont?
Iam sure you guys have heard of the journalistic ethic and code of conduct????

Dear, I know that you are referring to the story of Dwividha, if you are not aware, the story itself is a copy of the award winning kannada story, the only change is that the original had the kannada folkore that was replaced with rajasthani folklore in dwividha.

Kannada movies are amazing but a few idiots make it not worth watching. These people are those people with a lot of regional feelings and wont appreciate any other movies .They feel that people from other states or cities are a piece of junk and they love abusing and making fun of them with a feeling of pride and sheer entertainment. These group of people are such idiots and thinks they can take descisions on what movies people should watch. This is what happened a few months back in Karnataka. The last Kannada Movie I watched was Aptha Mitra which was a piece of ART.I take it as a challenge not to watch a single kannada movie after that incident where these people agitated against screening of other movies may it be english or Hindi..Who are these cheapos to decide on the movies we watch.I respect the people involved in making these movies.they are a bunch of talented artists Sivarajakumar , Upendra , Sudeep are all heroes of new generation and am sure are going to make their name count in the indian film industry but I am sorry to to say this its not gonna work this way. This is absurd and against the democracy.GUYS U MAKE GOOD MOVIES .Let us enjoy good cinema. No hooliganism please..

Hey guys..... I dont thk deepak is bein 2 touchy about kannada movies...its just dat d truth is 2 bitter..well i dont say bollywood movies r bad...as I myself is a lot into it...but I guess after bollywood...sandalwood rocks!!!!
Yet another act of plagiarism by Bollywood on Kannada movies. After Swades and Paheli both of which were copied from Kannada, this is the latest one. This movie is a copy of national award winning kannada movie Preeti Prema Pranaya.
Bollywood has nothing but Copy Cats, be it stories, dressing or culture everything is copied. Shame.
Big Deal!!!
by Raja on Sep 04, 2005 01:02 AM
Dear Deepak ...you seem to be very touchy about ur south indian cinema...please come out of the south indian cocoon...big deal even if the movie is copied...just enjoy the movie pal...don't do bollywood ver kanadawood...just chill
Blatant Copying
by pradeep on Sep 03, 2005 11:04 PM
hey dude, Paheli and Nagamandala are two DIFFERENT FOLKTALES, in rajastan and karnataka. Both are folktales, though the story is slightly different. Hence neither is a copy of other. I should know cos i am a kannadiga.
And regarding Swades, it IS a copy (even lyrics of songs are copied) from Jnanapeetha winner Shivaram Karanth's novel.
RE:Blatant Copy
by Koushik Rudra on Sep 03, 2005 04:05 PM
My Dear Deepak,
Paheli is not a copy of any Kannada movie - it is based on a Rajasthani folklore. If there is any movie in Kannada with same story they borrowed the story like from that Rajasthani folklore. Amol Palekar would be the last person to copy any thing from Kannada movies without acknowldeging the same.
