I guess I never see any movie review being negated by the worthy reviewer..if garam masala has given the reviewer its best moments in life..his life is very sad indeed!! Being a straight lift from Boeing-Boeing it sud qualify as the worst copy even in Bollywood. The movie lacks panache, has no outline..characters seem to sleepwalk through the sets..lacks everything. We can understand why Akshay Kumar is still a 'D'grade hero after all these years in Bollywood..and its not destined to change forever. But priyadarshan??how can u make such a movie!! Final Verdict:YUK...YUK..YUKSSS..

akshay is a d grade hero...thts the worst comment i heard..waqt,hera pheri, mujhse shaadi...khiladi films..one can see variation in his acting not like sticking to the same love routine films with two three punjabi songs for nris.....as far as garam masala is concerned its a good movie, good performances n good direction..total time pass movie...

Gimme a Break!! U call Akshay a D Grade hero? so who is the A grade?I am sure u must be thinking its only Shah Rukh..who knows only to run behind the heroines..Akshay has done some great stunts which the so-called A graders cannont even dream

Mr Mukherjee whoever you are, Akshay is a D grade hero?????? I live in Australia and his movies are one of the biggest grossers overseas and in India. He is one of the frontline successful actors in current lot. Why rediff published your review on their website as i have to write all this. Mate!!! think before write, brain is something God has given, use it. Who are A list actors anyway, doing same kind of movies, cant experiment because they are best actors. What a joke!

akshay kumar a d grade hero..plzzzzz give me a break. this guy does not know anything abt movies.even aksahys worst fans wont say something like that.this guy hasnt seen the movie and he is just writing messages out of his own imagination cause if he considers akshay a d grade actor why the hell will he go to watch garam masala. AFTER BLACK, GARAM MASALA IS EASILY THE BEST MOVIE OF THIS YEAR
I saw the movie and thought that it was ok. John Abraham cannot act and the critics should not give him any credit and they defeat the purpose of being one. Akshay , Rajpal & Paresh Rawal rocked and if this movie finds any ground , it'll be for them.
The only one thing i can say about the movie is AWSOME!!!.It far better than i was expected.I just recommend to all that just go and have a blast this diwali
I must congratulate Raja Sen on writing an excellent review , which seems to have been amazingly worked out . The language is rich (though not flowery or verbose) and has a decent mix of new age tinsel town jargons and more conventional cinematic ( not cliched though) metaphors . There needs to be some punch lines and an exhibition of diabolic wit while reviewing a comic caper and Raja gets a 10 on 10 for tickling our funny bone . Can't say much about the film though , but this is surely one of the most funniest reviews of the year .
Congratulations Raja
P.S .-I particularly liked the " assembly line -bimbette stuff" ; that was surreal ....
I watched the premire show of garam masala. Its a total waste of money. The script, dialogues are very lacking. Total slapstick stuff. Definitely avoidable. However if u enjoyed the loud jokes in 'Hulchul' u may even want to watch 'Garam masala'.
I was awaiting the review of Garam Masala before going to watch the movie. After I read this review, I did understand that the movie is worth watching. I have a comment reagrding the review not the movie. The review is written in such a high and complex English, whihc I fail to understand in the first reading, I had to read it thrice to understand the writer's comments. I guess we should have a simple review for simple people like me like the one for Shaadi No 1. Also I hope the movie does not go over my heads as the review went.
Another remake of Boeing Boeing in malayalam in the 80's. where Priyadarshan's wife did the role of one of the Airhostess. Mohan lal's role is done by Akshay kumar.
plenty more remakes to come. does not matter if these can make everyone laugh.
