WATCH IT!! The most fun film in a long, long time...
by Trisha on Jun 01, 2005 10:12 AM

Well-etched characters, great performances from Rani & Abhishek - not to mention Amitabh in a fantastic role (and one that I immensely preferred to Black... despite everything that the industry gods -incl. Mr. Bachchan himself - would have us believe, Black is hammed/overdone as hell).
B Aur B takes you through that territory that has disappeared from the face of Hindi cinema - small town North India. Bunty and Babli may dream of Bombay, but it's in Bareilly and Agra that they hatch their most audacious schemes. The tacky hotels and shiny newmalls of that world are perfectly evoked -and the movie has the music down to a T. (Watch for the songs that play in the sleazy neon-lit Gazal Bar of their first escapade... ah, Rumba Ho ho ho...) Aishwarya -however one may dislike her usual simpering -plays her part here perfectly -and the Umrao Jaan reference has just the right whiff of nostalgia/updated retro-coolness. Don't want to give away more-but watch for all the character actors and villains of yesteryears who appear in bit roles. The tremendous loveability of the characters, and the pitch-perfect humour ensure that this is not just a Hollwoodesque "heist flick" -it's much, much more

This review is a con-like the movie theme itself
by Tathagata Chatterjee on May 31, 2005 09:32 PM

This is the first time after many years I walked out of a movie just after the interval.Bonnie and Clyde meets Catch Me If You Can equals a putrid conconction of nicely choreographed sequences with set of item characters thrown in ( a hapless Aishywa Rai and Big B as a himbo)for mediocre measure. The greatest weakness is the script. There is no coherent storyline and the jokes fall flat on the face. The review is a con- similar to the tricks pulled out by the protagonist. Watch it if you can!

Hi All,

I don't know who all are saying it's a bad movie... seems like taste of movie goers is at a very low. I suppose all you guys who are saying bad about this movie, need some cheap movie with skin show.

If a clean, comedy movie is shown to them, they criticise it.

As far as I am concerned, it is a WONDERFUL movie... I really loved it... Great music, Superb comedy and awesome comedy!!!

To sum up, whole movie was just an entertainer...

I loved it!!!

Don't rely on the comments made by people here, just go and watch it guys, You will love it!!!

Enjoy!!!
