I watched this movie in 1995,when it was released.Though i was not a fan of Shahrukh at that time, still i liked it .Flow of storyline is superb and it gets a logical end. Shahrukh payed his character with all his energy and charm. But i doubt whether it was directed by Aditya himself ?
This was the first movie i watched when i bunked from school... i saw just half the movie due to fear of being caught... but i used to see it again and again whenever possible.. in real sense its ultimate... lovely... and afterall very romantic.. nice one.
well i think movie doesnt need any rating , its a class in itself . wonderful perforance , superb acting , lovely song and beautiffy directed . it will be not be fare for us if we rate this movie . pppl wat say .......
DDLJ is certainly one of the best movies made in India. If we talk of love stories only 3 movies come to our mind.QSQT , MPK and DDLJ.But certainly DDLJ is not a movie which u expect to run for 500 weeks, but whatever the real truth behind the achievement we all agree that it is one of the best love stories made by an Indian filmmaker. Best movie, Better then the best acting ang Best of the best direction. I think the movie is wort watching more then 500 times. And i am sure you won;t be bored even after that and look out for more. Unfortunately Aditya Chopra couldn;t repeat this success again in any of the movies he was involved with. But this one movie can keep him in the books forever. I am sure movie can go on for at least another 10 years and even that generation would be able to relate with it.
It's one of the greatest movies in Bollywood and has set many records since its release. DDLJ has also created record by winning 10 Filmfare Awards for 1995, the highest for any film in Bollywood till date. That shows the movie really has some classic aspects just other than the crazy fans attached to its 500 weeks. Yes the movie is watchable a couple of times or a two more, but it has all the aspects to be admired over the years. The story is not great but simple. The music is not classic but highly enjoyable. The performances of the actors and actress is not a benchmark but closer to home. Are these not the characteristics we are looking for today.
Only one another film could match DDLJ in all aspects. And that's none other than Lagaan.
