I think Eddie Murphy - Steve Martin comedy Bowfinger should be remade in Hindi, adding the Bollywood flavor--not only the on-screen flavor but also the behind-the-screen scenario of Bollywood should be explored. I say so because 1. the film is about a film which gives an idea platform to spoof Bollywood and its people and 2. it was recently made in Malayalam as Udyanaanu thaaram, *ing Mohanlal as the struggling assistant director and comedian Sreenivasan as the superstar, which was a huge blockbuster. I'd pick Saif Ali Khan to play the hero (the role of a struggling assistant director who can't get his film made) and Paresh Rawal as the pompus and annoying Superstar.
I guess India Directors should look into movies which are realistic and what people seen and face in their day to day lives. Movies like Forest Gump, My Big Fat greek wedding, castaway (with the tsunami, this would go well), Fever Pitch (mabbe they should take with a cricketer's life story), The Pacifier, Hitch, Hostage, national treasure, etc. what iam trying to say is the director should make movies which are real to india context. they should stop showing indian gals being so feminish and emotional ( only village and town gals are that way) and give importance to even the small things in screen. Thanks Navin
I would like to see if any director would be willing to remake the movie 12 Angry Men. It deserves to be remade in bollywood style to give our Indian Cinema a better meaning towards movie making and providing a view towards the western judicial system.
hitch is a very good entertainer n can be suited to indian tastes too.then theres father of the bride n host of family entertainers that can be remade.forget extrvagant movies like topgun or terminator.
