Shame on India TV
by Manish on Mar 22, 2005 02:31 PM

I would like to tell every body that I have no love towards any film personality but what ever they(india TV) have done is very bad. I would say one thing they cannot just use these tricks for their own benefit. I extend my full support towards the victim(Ajay Varma)

Casting Couch
by Suresh D. Koondaje on Mar 22, 2005 02:15 PM

The story of the casting couch phenomenon is not new. Take the case of a former Miss India, Persis Khambata, who is no more. She made a name for herself acting in movies in the USA. When asked why she didn't stay behind in India, where too she may have had good roles, she narrated the name of a film celebrity, who asked her to strip and get laid. If she didn't she was just a kid, or a Mama's girl, and not fit to star in any Indian movie! She didn't, and so, never figured in any Indian movie!

Madhavi
amanverma episode
by Madhavi on Mar 22, 2005 01:23 PM

wake up india!!!
we have many many miles to go before we can really match up the standards of being a truly developed country in whole lot of other fields. do we really need this?! i don't think so. who is aman verma? what does he do? and more specifically, what he does in his bedroom, or who are the "who's who" who support him......all these questions are really immaterial.
so we'd better grab up our senses and ignore this nonsense that the so-called responsible (?) channels are trying to put forth in the name of "awareness". as for alerting those who wanna make big in the celluloid world especially young innocent girls, i think enough has been said and printed till now that shows how the film industry is teeming with hordes of bad wolves. so anyone aiming for films must be aware that he/she might have to go thru' all this or not.
so guys, be aware of aids, be aware of the alarming scarcity of drinking water, be aware of the corruption rate, be aware of the mafia, be aware of .........
now tell me don't we have enough (more than enough) problems to think about and solve rather than these insignificant things. channels want their trp ratings. so pls. no more of this trash.

Ninad
Ridiculous
by Ninad on Mar 22, 2005 12:54 PM

The people form the film industry have made ridiculous statement. I think they want to save themseelves as it seems to me that none of them is clean. Moreover, such exposes are a warning signal for all those aspiring young ladies to beware and not to venture into such a trap. The comparison given by Salman is horrible as he compares the girls with the flesh. It seems the flesh trade has become the order of the day in the industry and these guys are afraid of being exposed in front of the camera. I think INDIA TV has done a great job. Kudos to you guys. Keep it up

Aman Verma - Guilty or Not ???
by Shobhana Pillai on Mar 22, 2005 12:02 PM

I feel Aman is not at all guilty. More than this persists in the society. If you see in our own homes and surrounding - this is only being aired becoz it is said about a personality - take a case of a beggar who is mentally retarded and is being sexually harrassed at this point where is the media why such crimes are not being stopped or such people being helped ????????????

by Kuldeep on Mar 22, 2005 10:24 AM

Aman Varma is innocent guy. He did nothing with that girl.We can't blame such a good person. The girl wanted to meet him for her personal work and he went to call her to help her not to stay with her that night.
