Ismail vs. Rehman
by Prasen on Jan 09, 2007 12:47 PM  | Hide replies

Both are very good. But one statement for them

Excellent orchestration -> A.R. Rehman

Soothing song composition -> Ismail Darbar

Without orchestration, A.R. Rehman's songs will not
be the same. Background score is the soul of his music
but Ismail Darbar's music is complete without
background score, his songs sound equally soothing even
if you take aways his orchestration.

As i have gone through this article about Ismail Durbar's opinion about legendary music direcor,A R Rahman,i just thought to make a comment on it..Anyways im not sure is this a really happened,if its false, then i would be happy and respectful to Ismailji..But if its true, then its purely ridiculous, foolishness and ignorance made by Ismail Durbar as i know his kind of music very well. No one can beat ARR and he proved himself by creating wonderful tunes in several movies... As a music analyst and a good listener, its No Wonder "ARR is better than Ismail Durbar","Taal is better than Hum Dil de",Saathiya is better than Devdas"....And its a "Bitter true" that Ismailji is not comparable to great music dir ARRahman....And it can be clearly seen that he is really jealous towards ARR...Finally sorry Ismailji...u sucks...

Ranman is humble- that is what makes him such a great human being...
by Krishnee on Nov 26, 2006 05:55 AM

Dear mr Darbar...

I really appreciated the music of Kisna n Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. U r undeniably a good composer.

But comparing urself to Mr Rahman...?That is sheer jealousy n a total lack of professionalism.

I mean Mr Rahman is UNIQUE...Nobody can even reach to the level of music n his quintessence. He has that genius in him, that transcends musical boundaries...

Plz respect other ppl's talent n genius.

I used to admire u but i guess there's nothing left to admire in u anymore.

Look at other music directors like Pritam, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy...They just do their work n do go about criticising other director's music. Plz do grow up...

Ismail: First of all, you cannot even dream to touch Rahman's shadow. He is the greatest music director of India in the last 15 years. Only insane people would say otherwise. He has given evergreen hits for the past decade. What abt u ? Just one here and there dont make somebody great. Rahman has been consistent. Do you know how hard he worked in his childhood to become what he is today ? Arrogance and frustration cannot get u anywhere. You will always be the second grade MD in comparison to AR rahman. accept the fact and move on. You cannot touch AR Rahman's foot in this lifetime and its destiny :)

Rahman humbleness!
by BG on Sep 21, 2006 10:13 PM

Dear Mr.Darbar,

I dono about your work or music, but one of the reasons Rahman is so dearly loved is because of his humbleness. Even for his greatest achievements he says "All fame belongs to god!". So be humble and produce good work.

Thanks,
BG

Mr.Darbar,
Your music may be fine, but don't make a fool of yourself by going around and comparing yourself with A.R Rahman as he is the ultimate music director. YOu only know to create music that is hearable and fun to hear once or twice. But A.R Rahman's music practically touches our soul.Don't think that these hopeless interviews will give you any profit. Keep your head in a proper state or u will lose your career

ismail darbarji you are jealous
by Ridwan Jaafar on Sep 07, 2006 04:03 PM

mr. darbar... i think ur message clearly states how much irascible you are because of AR Rahman is famous & you didnt get that much attention...

As you said... if God has given you the talent.. then use it... ppl reconginition is immaterial when you start to give good music..

When you say "I am not saying of jealousy" you mean you are jealous & how much hatered you have for the ppl who encourage AR Rahman... Unless you do not change this kinda attitude.. No matter how much good ur compositions are.. YOU WILL NOT BE RECONGNIZED...
